    This stuff is GOOD.

You know when you have that older jar of Vegemite that's gone a little harder, and has a more….. aged taste to it?
    This is it.

I'm hooked, and I eat Vegemite by the spoonful.

        No thanks

      • Being British i also prefer Marmite, but Vegemite is a very close second.
P.S lets not mention Bovril, not sure the Aussies will get their head around that one

Brovil used to be good when it was made with beef extract. After the mad cow disease in the UK. We ended up with vegetarian friendly brovil which was rubbish

        • I've stopped eating Bovril since.

        I love Marmite.

        Kiwi parents.

          My condolences.

No child should have to endure that sort of punishment.

I thought this was Vegemite flavoured instant coffee.

      Blend 43 + Vegemite?

      Haha same here!!
Wow that would actually be the most unappetising thing ever..

      • Blue waffle. It seemed the right place for this.

        = Blend 60.

I stocked up at 50 cents at Coles

Can confirm from experience it taste like Vegemite but in jar with a black label.

I prefer my Vegemite in a tube rather than a jar.

      • Very portable..

  • I bought it from Spudshed recently and reckon they should rename it Vegeshite… Each to their own but I found it to be too salty and bitter.

    • Thats so strange.
I actually find it SMOOTHER than regular Vegemite, not bitter.

Different taste buds on different people :)

    • Try it in a toasted sandwich.

    • Agree.
I find it slightly smoother but I find it hard to see massive differences beetween the two

  • New business idea: Cold dripped single origin Vegemite. Don't steal it!

  • Our family made the move to Freedom Food's Vege Spread years ago.

    http://freedomfoods.com.au/product/vege-spread/

As a hardcore Vegemite kid since the 70s, I was reluctant to change, and I still keep Vegemite for comparison, but I always go back to the Vege Spread. My 2cents.

    • Yeast free….. isn’t that the point of vegemite

  • About to leave the country. Should I pick this up or take the 5 year old half eaten tub from the pantry haha.

    • you're doing it wrong if your jar of vegemite is 5 years old.

  • After trying this on a slice of toast at the same time as original Vegemite, I can't tell any difference. The ingredients are all the same as well as the nutritional facts.
Maybe it's "aged" longer but in all seriousness, theres no difference except the fancy packaging.

  • I bought a jar last night at Bentley Spud Shed for 99c.

This deal is marked as expired but it seems it is not actually expired.

    • Yup, Just bought one yesterday from Jandakot as well

      • It is runnier than I thought. I didn't love it but it's fine for 99c

        • Thats what my workmate said! Would be easier to mix in with my rice porridge :)
