Why are they closing down? Is Harris Farm struggling?
Other stores are doing fine and have been trading for ages. They seem to be quick to close unviable stores. Dee Why store closed a while back. Ages ago North Strathfield closed.
I presume it's a renovation/relocation. This store is in the basement and just has enough room to move a trolley. Probably not up to their new classy image.
Or they have the one at Westfield so don't need two stores so close…
Yes, thats most likley why. Harris Farm bought the Norton Street Grocer in the better Westfield location, so it makes a lot of sense to close Eastgate.
Most likely because there is another store is in Westfeild just around the corner.
The most likely reason they are closing this store is because they have another in Bondi Junction, at Westfield. The Eastgate store has been there for many years, way before Westfield opened and the Westfield store is relatively new (think it took over from Norton St Grocers a few years ago).
This is sad
.. Due to my ocd and anxiety. I religiously go here every Sunday morning between 9:12-9:14am, like for the last 9 years..

Kind of weird news considering that just recently they have undergone some refurbishment, installed many more fridges, etc and expanded the range of products.
