Username checks out!
$1195 at Harvey norman now which may interest anyone who bought at jb's.
its within a week - don't know if they would match todays ebay
Yeah good advise mate.. HN and TGG both have reduced to $1195 so they try can claim price difference with this price..
And I don't think they will match ebay 5%
I'm aching to get the 43 inch model to use as a monitor/xbox x screen, but I can't find it anywhere near it's for sale price.
The 7000E 43" at Good Guys shop on Ebay is $755.25 click and collect after the PICK5 voucher, if you can find one at a local store. Or add $35.44 post.

Is it as good as the 6700E?
It's been on sale for ~$650. Not willing to pay a cent more.
How about this kogan one? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/370816
@Being Askhole: Hell no. No HDR, no firmware support, probably terrible input lag. You might as well set your money on fire, put it in the toilet and take a huge dump on it.
@Burnertoasty: yeah..true
@Burnertoasty: At least thank the bloke for suggesting something?
if you try that, just watch out for the output lag
Ah didn't know its been cheaper. Carry on then.
@Creepy Woody: I’m actually tempted. I’ll wait till the next 20% sale I think.
"Hell no. No HDR"
To be fair this isn't the tv for HDR either. Yes it officially supports it but according to rtings.com its HDR brightness level is all but identical to its SDR brightness level. It also doesn't display a wide colour gamut.
Meaning that its HDR performance will be virtually indistinguishable from its SDR image.
TL;DR what’s missing from this compared to a higher model?
Brightness mainly. This TV isn’t really at all useful for HDR.
Seems like a great deal . Only $35.25 more than what I feel I should spend. My car was $1,100 , just seems I shouldn't spend more on a TV than what I spend on a car.
$1,100 for 60 inch 4k-HDR seems amazing though. Just wondering though, should we wait a few days and hope for 10% off code again, and save another $60 or so on this.not sure if the price will be same when 10% ebay code comes
3 days ago TGG were selling these for $1999 .. and i guess they dropped their price to beat JB n HN..
ebay 5% is like cherry on the top..
checkout price compare posted here - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/370117Thanks . So good guys ebay price is likely to fluctuate somewhat randomly or as a deliberate 'price jacking' when sales are on.
I would have thought the massive companies would not do price jacking so much, because it tarnishes their name and reputation. I guess Im wrong.
You can buy gift cards from a guy on here for 8% off to bring it down another$88
Who is that from ? Have you bought the cards from this person .
Yeah I bought from them.

Still waiting for another deal on the 9000E
I think there are a few 9000Es on ebay with 20% off at the moment.
Would you be able to point me in the right direction? I can't seem to find anything about a 20% code?
type ebay into the search box and click ebay australia. from the page that loads you can see all current coupons and bargains.
The code is POWERLIFT. Here is an example. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-Bravia-55-KD55X9000E-4K-HDR…
@ddr0001: Thanks @ddr0001!
60 inch branded tv for $1000 is a nice find. Soon hopefully TVs will become cheaper in the $500 range in that size.
How does this compare with 65N7?
+1 for an awesome deal. Comment on "Refresh Rate: 50Hz" please.. is this something comparable to other main-stream brands. Sorry for being another "Askhole" ;)
Unless you like fake motion interpolation (soap opera effect) it's not important. The TV can't accept a signal any higher than the 50/60Hz it displays.
A lot of people confuse the concept of motion blur and/or response time with refresh rate which is why I think this question comes up all the time. Motion blur is what makes moving images blurry and response time is what makes video games feel delayed and out of sync with your controller inputs. Neither of this have any relevance to the refresh rate of a TV.
There is one and only one situation where a refresh rate higher than 50/60Hz is genuinely useful and that is for 24 frame per second playback. Most film and TV is shot at 24fps. 50/60Hz TVs and devices perform something called a 3:2 pulldown to display 24fps images (commonly produced by blu-rays, streaming apps and some more advanced streaming boxes). Although completely transparent to most some do notice the artefacts the 3:2 pulldown produces. A 100/120Hz TV has an advantage here since it can natively display a 24fps image by showing each frame 5 times. Usually this results in a smoother reproduction of 24 frame per second content.
Huh, I never knew that. I figured most TVs just have a variable refresh rate that drops to 24hz.
Thank you, that makes sense.
Would you rather get this one or the 55" to save $200? Model# KD55X7000E. Debating to save $200 for 5" difference. Any thoughts?
Always get 5" more than what you planned! After 3 months u will thank yourself!
Yes i have a 55" X7000D. Regret not getting a bigger one.At first the 55" seemed huge but now i have gotten used to it and am greedily eyeing the 75" screens at work.
60" will become the standard soon
There is no such thing as a standard size TV. Everyones rooms and seating positions are different.
I mean the most popular screen size from manufacturers.
We bought this a couple days ago for the office as a giant monitor and the text is super clear at 4K rez. You need to choose enhanced resolution in the setting on HDMI 2 and 3 to enable chroma 4:4:4. When you are close to the tv and move around a bit you do see difference in the brightness. This I assume is because it is not an IPS panel. I maybe wrong though.
You're welcome :)
