Was just about to pay my momentum account, saved $25.00 thanks.

Thanks OP. Considering switching to momentum, paying multiples of $50, then switching back to current provider. I wonder what'll happen?

Thanks for posting. Both my gas and electricity is with them!!

not available on my Amex issued Westpac Black Amex card. :(

    • -1

Westpac aren’t affiliated with Amex whatsoever

      • Lol… My card says otherwise mate! Westpac have been issuing Amex cards until end of March. My card was then switched to & reissued by Amex, but it's still tied to my Westpac business account.

These guys are one of the cheapest.. in my area anyway with no bs 30% off stuff. Nice $100 bonus for me over 4 cards

If there's anyone that wants to avail of this offer, but doesn't have an AmEx card/doesn't have the offer show up on their online account, I'll be happy to pay your bill at the Pay your invoice page, and you just transfer me the discounted amount of how many ever payments you need :)

Thankyou MathNerd for doing this. It is much appreciated!

      • Thanks mate for the really easy transaction. Enjoy your savings! :)

    • Also happy to do this for anyone

  • Now I regret switching from Momentum last year.

    • Who did you end up switching to. Thought Momentum Energy’s gas is pretty cheap.

      • +1

I had electricity with them which was really cheap until I got a letter saying they forgot to put my rates up. I found Globird to be the cheapest then. Momentum wouldn't price match and were difficult to deal with on the phone.

Just a heads up that it looks like you can pay your account in advance even if you have no current bill issued. Did this last night via the Momentum website and received the confirmation email from Amex immediately.

  • I tried to register my cba amex via mannual link & it says I have already registered which I haven't. Anyone got the same problem?
Anyway I just used my amex card to pay $50 & see whether $25 credit in my account after few days. finger crossed.

    • you should get an email instantly (typically).

  • Hey all, if you have multiple Amex, you can also split your payments by calling Momentum directly and pay the bill over the phone! I have claimed 2 x $25 successfully for the same bill. :)

    • no need to call… just go online and deposit x number of $50 (depending on how many cards you have). You can use any bill for reference, it just uses the account number. The amount would simply sit as a credit on your account until a bill comes along and sweeps it up.

Link still appears to be working… could be worthwhile if you havent already - spend doenst need to occur until September and momentums rates are pretty decent… even better at 50% off!

One of my all time favourite amex offers… but my appetite for more has waned given I've prepaid electricity until about 2020.
