@fookos: I was initially concerned as well, like my OLED vs LED screen on the vita. After gaming for countless weeks on both, it didn't matter that much, only the battery life did. Because no matter how nice the screen is, if it's dead then that's just as good as nothing =/
@yanhaot: How are your Vita's going? My OLED vita has a battery drain overnight. Plays fine after being charged - same battery life while gaming as it always did - but after switching off it continues to drain… Within 24-hours it's usually dead.
I put in a replacement battery and same thing happens…
I'm thinking of grabbing a Vita slim for safekeeping - so I've got one of each. What will we do in years to come, though, if the batteries die? Why companies put proprietary power sources into their devices I'll never know. 10 years from now you won't be able to get a replacement battery, so the unit will be a piece of gaming history you can't boot up to show the next generation!
@fookos: Battery on OLED runs out quite fast, being 1st gen and all. PSV slim is quite sustainable. It's sad that the vita didn't catch on much in the west, but it's really good for people who love stories and reading since the VN and jRPG games on it are decent.
Come on, please sold out already! My self-control is getting weaker day by day!
Just buy it - the gods give you their blessing.
Beware, mine came without a charger and it's mentioned nowhere on the website that this is the case. Really dodgy Amazon
The 2DS XL came with a charger, the 3DS XL doesn't. If you look at the picture on Amazon, it does say 'AC Adaptor not included' on the bottom.
This has been widely debated all over the web - it's got nothing to do with Amazon - it's Nintendo that made the ingenious decision not to include one - despite the cable being proprietary.
That said, if you're a skilled online shopper you can find a cable to plug into any wall adaptor for under two bucks.
New 3ds and 2ds don't come with one ever. I think Daiso might have them
^As everyone else has said, New 3DS XL doesn't come with a charger. Nintendo decided to leave it out, so that those that already had one didn't have to pay for something they didn't need, and those that wanted one could buy it separately. (At least, that is how they rationalised it.)
But to be honest, the charger sucks! It is one of those ones that overhangs on one side, so you need to plug on the corresponding end (or lose a socket). But not only that - it also overhangs too far on the shorter side!!! So it cannot be placed next to ANY other plugs on a regular powerboard!!!
Honestly, I think you're way better off just buying a cheap cable from AliExpress/ebay and using a regular USB charger!
Thanks OP. Picked one up today at JB HiFi Rouse Hill NSW by price matching.
Was able to use a gift card, and confirm visually the box was in good condition for my collection.
Arrived today. No dead pixels.

How do you/can you tell?
@oxymoron: Haha, that makes mine IPS top and TN bottom.
