I find coles online is about 10% more expensive than woolies online..have ordered multiple times from both..

    • Coles online more expensive than coles in store?

      • +5

        Yup.

        • the specials should be the same though.

      • Not on everything, catalogue items are usually the same price

      • I picked a random product from my online order (not on special) and checked the price in store. They were the same price. It was a Coles branded product though. Does that make a difference?

    Targeted?

    • Not sure, could be, no code needed though so….

      • Are you sure? I got a coupon code in my email

        • T&Cs say - "will automatically be applied at checkout." Certainly no code in my email.

    • Thanks OP, got the email eventually.

Not Targeted. Apply code 'EASTER15'. I just successfully checked out.

Have ordered from Coles for Home Delivery quite a few times and don't mind paying the extra for the products nor the extra for delivery as it's just so convenient… but what I don't like is the fact that the driver has to deliver the crates right into the house and spend minutes unloading each one and what really grinds my gears is the diesel truck left idling on the street for 10 minutes while that happens! Have since changed to Click & Collect however I'm now on the hunt for some Coles collapsible crates so I can just exchange them for however many I get full of groceries then continuously swap them over & over for future orders. I've supplied feeback to Coles about all of this but it seems to fall on deaf ears. All they need to do is start a crate exchange system or simply offer their specific crates for sale, how hard can that be?!

Im tipping most people would be very happy that the driver delivers the items to your bench-top. Personally I think its one of the best features of the delivery. I usually help which speeds it up. You could have them unload the bags at your front door if you wanted to.

      • Yeah, each to their own. I helped too as I don't really like randoms in my house for longer than necessary (if at all)… but if I could just take the loaded crates and exchange them for empties then it'd save them time and it could all be done on the street/at the front door.

Used to do the bag thing and it was great as I just got them to do exactly that, just leave them at the front door however now we've all gone bagless there's no option.

Would that mean we would have to store crates somewhere in our house between deliveries? I personally wouldnt like that as I can't stand unnecessary things around the house!

        • @cinnamon85: Yes however they collapse down to hardly anything and could be used for other things between deliveries :) Each to their own, I'd just like it as an option, not for everyone. Easy enough for Coles to roll out and doesn't affect anything else so I'm not sure why they don't offer it as an option.

    • The problem is that with the crates though, we actually have to share them with other departments and a lot of the time we actually don't have enough crates for the next shop. Plus the crates that you see are actually from different departments such as fresh produce, we really only just reuse their crates.

      • Hmm, sounds like Coles really need to review things then.

  • I looked around and found their Easter chocolates to be cheaper than anywhere else.
They have a 500g bag for $5 and a bag of 50 hollow eggs for $10.
I ended up getting all my Easter shopping done and filling the rest with their 1/2 price deals.

  • Just completed checkout and these line items were added:

Thanks for shopping, here's $15 OFF! Campaign ID MM0315 Thanks for shopping, here's $15 OFF! Campaign ID MM0315 -$15.00
    -$15.00
Thanks for shopping, here's FREE delivery! Campaign ID MM0315 Thanks for shopping, here's FREE delivery! Campaign ID MM0315 -$10.00
    -$10.00

I did receive the email as well.

    • Tried w EASTER15 but when added it showed similarly except:

EASTER15 - Thanks for shopping, here's $15 OFF! Campaign ID MM0315PC Thanks for shopping, here's $15 OFF! Campaign ID #lemmingshoot Not yet qualified

      Not yet qualified?

And w a button that allows the order to confirm like that, with the code applied to the cart successfully, but with no discount applied.

      Really?

      Total savings: $2.05

Wrong too, there was 12 packets of nuts in there at half price or something… so the savings calculator is broken too.

Clearly they have amateurs maintaining Coles Online, beware using your credit card or personal details with these j0k3r5!

      • Yeah, it's targeted with the discount applied automatically at checkout.

Why is there an image of grapes?

    • Because its a Champagne deal?

  • +3

    I counted 37 grapes.

  • I've got $10 off $80, that means it's sort of targeted based on your past spend

  • I think this is targeted, I don't see any such email :(

  • Seems to be targeted. I didn't get an email and tried doing a $100+ order and no discount or free delivery was applied to the order…
