Does it support Band 28 ?

    • according to the specs on CooliCools page for this phone it doesn't support band 28.

      "Network Frequency: WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz, FDD-LTE B1/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B26, GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz "

    • the australian moto web sites lists it as supporting band 28.

might be worth checking the sku in case they do special model for china.

      • why did I get negged, the Australian web site says the model sold here supports band 28, as do Europe.

    • According to GSMArena, there are four versions of this phone. Three of them (Europe, USA and Brazil) support band 28. Only the India version doesnt support it.

Now, the product listing on coolicool mentions that this supports FDD-LTE B1/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B26. This does not match with any of the variants on GSMArena.

Not sure whom to trust here.

    • DWI chat support confirms their units support Band28, although their listing does not say it does. They had to contact the distributor to check the model SKU. They have Black and Gold, this posting is Gold only from what I can see. Also DWI has the price down to $439 on eBay https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/322642870322?ViewItem=&item=3226…

Verify yourself with DWI but this might be worth the effort and extra cost to have band 28 for a well reviewed phone that has proper Dual SIM "&" SD and not Dual SIM "or" SD.

      • Thanks mate, it will cost ~$396 with the latest eBay 10% off coupon at DWI eBay site. Seems like a good deal if it does support Band 28.

        • Make sure you contact them and verify the band 28, I would hate if you made the purchase on what I stated above and it was delivered without it. DWI are good but I think they get there stock from anywhere they can at the best price so they may have multiple variants and you should confirm through the eBay Questions as this would be a record for returning it if it were wrong.

I just purchased the G5+ and wished I had waited a few weeks for the $439 from DWI, it was over $500 and for double the G5+ I couldn't warrant it but when its down in the low $400 region its a great deal.

the big question….how does it compare to a G5s PLUS?

    • GSM Arena do a very good review on both. G5s Plus is SD or second SIM which is a no go for me and the G5 Plus (no "s") is better for my needs of 2 SIMs and SD.

I think the Moto Mods would be fun to try with the battery case boost backs and wireless charge backs being very interesting.
