Hi Everybody!

Accidentally came across this outlet just behind The Good Guys across the road from Highpoint.

They are closing down at the end of the month. I've been thinking of buying a new espresso machine to replace my long loved EM6910 and there was a EM7100 sitting on the floor for $419.30.

I also picked up an EM7000 to give as a gift for $314.30.

They also had PU6910 (EM6910 with grinder) for $300 (there was 4 left)

These are factory seconds or refurbished machines but honestly I couldn't tell the difference as I didn't even see a single scratch on both machines I examined before purchasing, came with all brand new accessories.

Theres also brand new machines if you want to spend extra.

NOTE: peace of mind comes with 1 year warranty and 5 years on the pump. :)

Of course they have other things Sunbeam too

  Why replace your long loved EM6910? Interested in your opinion.

    Guess it was time to retire my 6910. the pump is dying, rubber gasket has started to leak again, pressure gauge hasn't worked in the last couple years and takes too long to froth the milk, once it's done frothing the tiny plastic tab thing on the steam wand is too hot to touch lol

    I've had it for about 10 years now

  Are the new models any quieter than the 6910? I replaced mine with the same model (6910) last year, mostly because it was that price (3ooish) and sold the free blender off to make a new machine for myself come down to the $140 mark.

    Definitely quieter. I had the 6910 and had the pleasure of owning the 7000 for just under a fortnight before replacing it with the 7100. The 7000/7100 is essentially the same, just bought a lemon 7000 off a refurbished seller on eBay, end up returning and "upgraded" to the 7100 I purchased on Gumtree. Still miss the 6910, I haven't been able to get a consistent shot with the 7100 but my 6910 was about to go.

    Oh heaps quieter compared to my 6910… That was very noisy could also be my pump getting louder but it's a huge difference compared to what I'm used to for the last 10 years LOL

  AFAIK, the outlet was there because it used to be near the actual Sunbeam factory, where Harvey Norman now stands.
