  • Advice on transmission oil please?

    • +12

Get the type stipulated in your service manual for you specific model.

      • Service book says Type T-IV whatever that means.

        • +4

Awesome. Go instore and there will be either a little iPad you can plug your car model into and it'll tell you what to use. Or on each bottle, it'll say "specification Toyota Type T-IV" along with other ones. Castrol Transmax Multivehicle is probably a good place to start.

      Advice on transmission oil please?

You should use it or your transmission will sieze.

        Thanks jv wannabe.

      Advice on transmission oil please?

My advice is that if you're willing to post such a vague question and expect an answer that would be meaningful that you should take your car in to someone who knows what they are doing and please never work on your own brakes.

Service book says Type T-IV whatever that means.

      LoL.

      • What's your address please?

        • What's your address please?

          Yes.

  • +4

Thanks OP, these $5 credits are awesome.

I have so many Little Tree air fresheners I could start my own taxi business.

  • +13

And here it comes min spend
    Bye

    • +15

      They've finally caught on.

      • +4

        About time I feel lol

    • It was good while it lasted though! I actually now GENUINELY LIKE SCA! And it probably DID actually serve the intended purpose of increasing brand-awareness/patronage etc

TAKE NOTE 'REPCO' etc. … I suggest you launch a similar program/scheme that entices punters into your shops/onto your website, via providing them with $5 'free money' periodically over a period of ~2 years to spend however they please (with no minimum purchase though; that just kills the whole initiative dead).

  • +4

    In-store only between 5-7pm :( They've definitely caught on.

    FREE $5 Credit

    WOO-H…

    (Minimum Spend $10)

    D'oh!

    • +2

      Plus in store only..

  • +2

Not available online. In store only.

  • Auto stores in-store and also online.

Not online. You were in autopilot mode.

  • +1

So they've tried to stop people using their credit to get free items

    • +6

Yep, and don't blame them at all. They have a Business to run.

My only issues is that it appears to be in-store only. I just can't be bothered in the evenings, particularly a Weds night.

      • Probably high time they cut down on one or the other ($5 only spends or online) but both is a big hit in one go! Though I'm not entirely sure how many people were buying multiples of $1 tap connectors anyway hahahaha

        • I wouldn’t do that, but I’d usually go buy some sub $10 item. Like a Shemmy, a wash pad, bucket and sponge etc.

  • What's a good buy for $10 down to $5?

  • Now i have not a good reason to go to supercheap as it is not cheap anymore due to the min $10 criteria.

  • +4

    SCA have ruined it

  • Unless they also have good discount on a few items I want, otherwise this $5 credit with $10 spend is useless to me.

  • How do you get a club plus membership? Is it for existing AND new members?
Basically can I just rock up on the day, pick up what I want and get the discount by giving my details to them for the membership card and 5 bucks off?

Sorry if someone's explained this on the thread, I just can't see anything.

How do you get a club plus membership?
You sign up in store or online

Is it for existing AND new members?
If you're an existing member you're already a club plus member and yes new members can join. (This question makes no sense?)

Basically can I just rock up on the day, pick up what I want and get the discount by giving my details to them for the membership card and 5 bucks off?
No, you pay $5 to sign up and get $10 credit on your NEXT purchase after you verify your email. Best thing to do is to go sign up and then come back the next day to buy your stuff with the $10 credit. Note, you won't get the $5 off $10+ spend unless you sign up BEFORE the club plus night.

Source: I used to work at SCA

      • I have, on several occasions, bought $5 membership card, then while in store, activated card on my phone.
Usually took about 5 minutes for activation email to come through. Then spent the $10 credit towards something in store.
I think a couple of times out of 10, there was some error/issue with activation. I just called up phone number on card, and they were very good, they can just quickly and easily activate (and add the $10 sign up credit) to your account instantly.

  • +2

dammit! I was slowly replacing my screw driver set, with the $5 credits

  • Being holding on to get some mirrors for about a fiver. I dont need two !

  • I don't want to spend unnecessary money at SCA. give me back the freebiesss..

  • Does anyone understand the next line in the email stating shop on the night and get credit back* thresholds apply?.

I take it as a separate deal to our $5off.

Someone on the Suercheap facebook event suggested that we also get credit back to our cards.

    • If its like the previous times it will be something like: spend $100 get $20 credit, spend $200 get $40 credit, etc.
I think the credit was for your next purchase & expired in a relatively short time (2 - 4 weeks?).
Of course this time could be different.

So much entitlement in the comments… thinking SCA owes them free stuff. This is a good deal. Glad the minimum order is in place now, to keep the total gutter-feeders out.

  • Hey I found two apparently identical listings but at different prices…

Unfortunately the cheaper one has limited stock. Weird right?

Might post as a deal later unless someone else wants to do it first.

  • +1

Guess my collecting of buckets, tap connectors and airfresheners is over…

  • in store 5-7pm only?
but I've check for few stores online
    they close at 5:30pm
so only got half an hour to use that $5 credit?

    • open especially late today.

  • Is the $5 deducted from $10 straightaway when you pay(as result you pay $5) or credit to your account later after you spend $10?

    • +1

*Credit offer available to Club Plus members only. Credit will be applied to Club Plus member’s account by 16th March, 2018 and will expire on Friday 30th March, 2018.

      Lmao

Saw some OK deals on motorcycle oil, storage containers and a virtual reality goggle.

    $5.49 Castrol Activ 4T Motorcycle Oil - 15W-50, 1 Litre

$5 NanoCam Plus Virtual Reality Headset

$5 SCA Storage Roller Box - 35 Litre

My local store also was giving away the 2018 calandar for free to Club Plus members.
