For better savings, i plan to buy discounted jbhifi gift cards.

If your going overseas, claim TRS as i plan to give the laptop as a gift.

I would assume hp, acer, dell have international warranty or they only provide local warranty?

  I purchased a Dell laptop from Dell Australia, was living in Japan when it needed to be fix, had no problem from Dell Japan in getting it fixed under warranty.

  Better check individual brand before purchase if international warranty is important as I'm sure not all companies offer this.
  
  Might even be specific to particular countries, so research this first.
