What to Call a Nut Shop?

Long story short, my parents are starting a store that sells nuts, dried fruits etc.

Any of you have some good ideas for what to name the store?

  • It's probably not a good idea to ask the audience for name suggestions, just in case someone comes up with a witty idea, you use it, and then they want to get paid because you used it. Better to think of your own.

Anyway, here is mine. I Have The Nuts. Makes sense if you know poker.

  • Hi OP,

    Great question.

How about "Nuts and More" ?

Also, in Melbourne, we shop at Bassfoods / NSM, do if you can compete with them on price, then please share store details as I love eating nuts!

  • Bunch of Nuts
    Sick Nuts
    These Nuts
    Tasty Nuts

On a serious note, it doesn't have to be anything flashy. If you have a catchy surname though, it might help. So just put that in front of the word Nuts and off you go.

  • Physical or virtual store? Or both. Even if you don't sell online you may want a site for information about the offering. In which case consider a likely domain name should be easy to remember and discoverable - perhaps even work will with google SEO. The availability of domain names may restrict your choices. I'd personally avoid apostrophes.

    Nut Haven?

    G'luck….

    • Very true. Domain and business name availability will dictate what you call it. Also, don't have a weird spelling eg. Wynston with a Y!

  • We have John's Nuts a all over Vic. I still laugh when I walk past.

Please don't call it [Instert your name] Nuts.

  • An old friend of mine's family has for a very long time ran as a nut shop distributor. So more of the kind where they make small packages and distribute them to shops who sell the small bags of nibbles at their front counters. Or companies use the small bags as promotional filler. Airlines used to use them as nibbles on short flights, but I'm not sure now with everyone being so wary of allergies.
The name of their company is simply 'Nibble Co Australia' and their tag line is 'Nuts for life!'
