[NSW] Open an ING Orange Everyday Account and Get $100 (Westfield Chatswood) [$1,000 Deposit & 5 Card Transactions Required]

140

Was wandering around chatswood westfield and got given a flyer for some new ING account opening bonus. Looks like you have you have to talk to them to get a promo code. No use to me as ive already got my ING free money. Standard rules apply:
Signup and use the promo code they give you, activate your account, deposit $1000 and use the card they give you 5 times.
They're right near katmandu at chatswood.

edit They also had a sign about free coffee there if thats more your thing

edit again did some digging and it looks like if you take their old $75 url and change it to $88 you get an online version of the broucher. Also looks like they've changed it to $100 now too. Unfortunately still looks like you need to visit them to get the promo code.

Beware ING credits those as interest. ATO will charge tax on this.

    • +1

I don't think that's true, in transaction history my $75 bonus is called "miscellaneous credit" (with a description "Treat-ING you")

Or should I be looking elsewhere?

      • Why the Neg??? The ATO picked mine as interest on my tax return a few years ago. YMMV

        • wasn't me mate

They add additional condition to use it 5x in a month else you loose bonus interest.

    • +2

That is a bad step they have taken, I have closed my account

      • they don't specify a minimum transaction amount, so for all we know, it could just be 5x 1c transactions.

        • Which ever.. If you missed a transaction then you wont get the bonus interest.

I guess they rely on some customers who would missed the bonus interest to recover other features they throw in.

          Will looks somewhere else
Citibank is higher, though have 4 months honeymoon, just open a new one every 4 months. Ans citibank also cam be used overseaes.

Ubank seems better rate and RAMS.

        • @atlinus: it's annoying, but still a damn sight better than mebank's requirement of 1 paypass transaction every calendar week. you miss out on bonus interest if you have to go overseas for more than a few days and you can't leave your card with someone you trust.

        • @tdw:

It is annoying. I domt usw mebank for that reason.

Only way ING would know if a lot of clients savings is pulled out so they will remove restrictions. They are trying to lure people in then adding restrictions bit by bit.

    • Yeah, 1/2 year ago my mother signed up under me, we both got $100, She used the savings maximiser whereas I used Ubank. She will be moving to Ubank.

Yep $100 bonus for referrals is still available just too bad the poorly thought out ozbargain policy of blocking 100% of personal referrals links from posters is in affect, making it a complete gamble with links, and anyone with the smallest of intelligence can see this rule is detrimental to the community and not only do you take a gamble with the link you use, it obviously make at least some people think "(profanity) it I cant be bothered to post this bargain as nothing in it for me" thus we all miss out on bargains due to this stupid policy! This rule is completely stupid when it comes to referral links such as ING ones which have VARYING REWARD AMMOUNTS and this rule is obviously detrimental in multiple circumstances not just this one!!

Does ozbargain staff think that having personal referral links in posts is a bad thing for ozbargain community? (do you get a bunch of 'crap' posts just so people can get their referrals?).. Well even if that is true then A) it would get downvoted anyways if it is a "bad deal" and B) it is quite apparent that the rule is detrimental at very least in this case!. I believe personalized referral links should BE ALLOWED at very least for certain set companies/bargains where the referral links VARY IN AMMOUNT AND/OR VALUE.. Would that make ozbargain a better place for "BARGAINS" for people like in this case where you could get $100 back?? Isn't that the whole idea of this website? Did the ozbargain community itself have any say in that rule change last year or was it just forced by staff? It seems the latter which is quite frankly shit house for this community and does absolutely nothing to better the bargains being posted, quite the opposite.

    (profanity)

lol wow this website is seeming more and more like a PC safe space for old ladies

  • $100 via refferal

  • Well it was $123 for a sign-up last June.

BTW I remember reading that picking off random referrals from OzB for $100 bonus might not always work.

  • Saw their facebook marketing, visit the stand and quote Bonus100 for a free coffee…
