Was looking into new Galaxy S9 deals as my plan is nearly up and this has just come out through Telstra today.
Not the cheapest I know, but Free Wireless Convertible Charger and Samsung Tab A relieves some of that pain.
Can be for any preorder on the S9 or S9+, I talked to a guy at the Telstra shop today who said it is limited and is while stocks last.
Tab A is valued at RRP $456.
Wireless charger RRP is $119.

Serious question. what things you must have to have and use in s9 that you cannot find or get from/on S7 or s8?
Don't know much about the 9, but it has a slo-mo camera and iris security.

It’s actually offered by Samsung not the retailers, they offered the same for the Note 8 last year, took nearly 4 months after picking up the phone to receive the wireless charger.

I pre-ordered my S8+ (not note 8) last year and the promo they were all offering was a free VR headset, same thing I think it must have been from samsung as all telcos were doing it, I received it before the phone from memory.

Does your S8+ - when on a call, and you put it on your ear/ cheek - auto turn off display?
People I know are bummed with their S8+ display remaining active when on calls, and so phone does random things based on what all actions get trigerred via the screen elements. Proximity sensor settings and all being OK, this problem is discussed all over the Internet.
How is your's fairing?
There's so many different options, S9 or S9+ and memory sizes as well as monthly plans so its not all going to fit in the title.
Is there even an outright price provided?

Got S8 with Optus when it went to $59. Then iPhone 8 with Optus for $59. I have 2 more phones out of contract in the fam. Will be getting 2 of these but not for a dime more than $59 + Maybe a gift card.

Last year with friends and family offer with some other 20'ish % discount for a total of 59 per month instead of 90 per month. Best deal ever i got.
Yeah, Friends and family one. Got them to include unmetered Netflix on the plan as there was a typo on the special website they had made for the offer.

I don't think Telcos sell the wifi only ones these days. They really want you to put one of their sim cards in it.

You can preorder s9 outright and still get the tab a and wireless charger from telstra. But you have to go instore to do this

I spoke to a representative on live chat today. He confirmed
samsung S9+:
256gb - outright cost is $1608
64GB - outright cost is $1368
Samsung s9 256GB is $1464
64GB is $1200
So if i go to the store to pre-order to buy outright, i also get the Tab A + charger? Sigh, current S8 owner, not sure if it's worth getting a new S9.. lol.

Yeah let us know how you go. Could you ask when you be able to pick it up. on the website it says it'll ship on the 12th. Does that mean you can pick it up from the store on the 12th? Or can't pick up until the 16th
@la838: i went to telstra store in Carnes Hill today and was told that we can only preorder on a plan and we cant preorder outright until 16th March. Which means that you wont be able to get the bonus goodies.
So i spoke to live chat representative again and now ive been told that the representative i was talking to before was from a business accounts team and they said that maybe if you preorder in business account then you could get the phone outright with the 2 goodies.
No im just thinking whether i should preorder from samsung or some other retail store. I think if i preorder from samsung store online, i could receive it earlier as they say it will be shipped out on 9th march

I was quite excited about the tablet.. oh well. upgrading from s8+ to s9+ isn't really as exciting as when it was s6/s7 to s8+
I went in to a telstra store last week. We are on a business plan but could also have purchased outright directly (eg not on the business plan). I have been told I'm eligible for the charger and the Tab A. It did take a while to find someone in store that knew how to go about it. Hope this helps some folks out there.

Those that wait a few months after S9/+ release might be tempted by shoppingsquares outright pricing, like I did when S8+ was released… Somewhere around stocktake time I presume… Time will tell. S8+ been awesome BTW.
Woolworths mobile is the go for me, Telstra network, $87PM for the S8 with 25GB, $77PM if you only need 15GB. Unlimted calls and text, as is a given pretty much these days.

I dont understand this considering that the S9 256GB outright is $1,349 at the Samsung store. Are you sure its not the S9+?
