It includes $10 off plan fees and 32gb bonus data.
Students can also get an extra 20% off full ($60) plan fees - so $48.
Seems like a good deal.

Seems like a good deal.
Referrer & referee receive $25-$50 credit after referee's 3rd monthly bill.
Edit: thought I might have got it wrong but yeah, it's $50 after the $10 off. These deal pages are confusing :)
Here is an explanation.

So, if you want to edit your deal, you can do it this way…
change title to Vodafone SIM Only 12 month Mobile Plan for $50/mth for 52GB, or $48 /p.mth for 12 Months for Students
Set the expiry date as 06/03/2018. Because that's when the $10 off plan fees will expire, and it will revert to 60 dollars a month actually, no, expire will be 06.03 because that's when extra data offer ends
obviously you can only set one expiry date. Students will continue to get the offer until 10 of April.
Oh good to know - and at the top of the page in the little red box it says "was $60 now $50".
So students can get it for $48 rather than $50 IF they allow students to stack the extra GB to 52GB. Otherwise it'd be worth them paying $2 more.
@em:
actually the earliest date to redeem this offer, and to get 52GB is 06.03.2018
If you sign up after this date, you will only get 20GB. I've edited the deal now.
Is this for new customers only?
From Ts and Cs:

Discounted plan fees on selected SIMO 12 month plans
Personal use only. Discount available to approved new & upgrading customers who sign up to a $50 and above SIM Only 12 month plans.
Obviously it'd pay to do your homework (i.e. use the chat feature to speak to a customer service rep to ensure you can do it as I think have to sign up onlne for ths deal).
Thank you!
After 12 months price goes back up to $60 and data down to 20gb?
From the T&Cs looks like bonus data is applied for 24 months while discount is only 12 months.
I think it’s better to take the 50Gb and international call allowance. Also has qantas points. Just in case you/someone randomly dials an international number and gets slugged $6 for a call that doesn’t even connect. Because who needs 52Gb of data…
Reading the t&c looks like the discount is for 12 months and the bonus data is for up to 24 months.
Currently on this plan - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/357362
35/month with 22GB (weird because I'm supposed to only get 20GB/month)
Tried to take advantage of this deal with the additional 28GB, but agent said they can't apply the $10 discount as it's an online only offer.
Sticking to the original plan, it's a no brainer really.
If you think Optus has better coverage than Vodafone, you could signup for $48 / 45 GB virgin plan which comes with $200 international calls apart from free calls to limited few countries.
I signed up instore and they obliged to add another 5GB bumping it to 50GB rollover data/pm
Im with optus atm and am keen to go with virgin. is there a cap to how much data can be rolled over?
Nope. The customer service is top class. But Optus network is just disappointing
The rolled over data has a limited one month validity. However if you loan another virgin number and then get it back validity is extended to another month.
You could also get 140GB mobile broadband for 55, keep rotating and accumulating excess data.
A good alternative to ADSL
Also - plan data is used before expiring rollover data.
See: https://community.virginmobile.com.au/t5/Support-Articles/Ro…
Rollover will be used after your standard included value or data has been used. Rollover is only valid for one month, so if you don't use your rolled over value it will expire at the end of your bill cycle.
Unlike, say ALDIMobile
Any available rollover data is consumed before a Value Pack's standard data allowance.
Does anyone know if this can be used on a Vodafone pocket hotspot, or would I need a mobile with tethering capabilities?
No reason it shouldn't.
Looks like this may be eligible for Cashrewards too:
$60 SIM Only 12 Month Plan: $30.00
Wow, optus is only 30gb for $50
