    Notification LED?

Yeah, US model isn't the best choice for use here right?

  • Just purchased a refurbed S7 on ebay 2 weeks ago for $240. They gave the option of selecting one in good, excellent or brand new condition, so I selected good. It came in absolutely pristine condition with no marks whatsover. Pretty happy with the purchase

      Where was this from?

    • My issue wouldn't be looks, it would be battery.

      • +2

Agree, my 2 year old S7 struggles to get to 6pm now and according to battery tests has only 2200/3000mAh left. Scared to lose waterproofing if battery is replaced.

        • +6

They're designed for you to buy a new one every 2 years.

If you need waterproofing you're pretty much tied to the life of your battery.

Back in the old days when Samsung used removable plastic covers, you could cheaply replace the battery yourself and get another 2 years out of it. As someone who doesn't go swimming with my phone on me, this was preferred.

There are a lot of metal snobs, but once you put the phone in a case, it makes no difference what the back looks like.

        • How do you do battery tests

        • @AlienC: Also if I have bought my phone for 1.5 year, would the battery still be covered under the 2 year manufacturer's warranty?

        • @AlienC: I downloaded the AnTuTu app and will give it a try once I recharge my phone to 100%

        • +1

@AlienC: Just a heads up, a lot of the battery test apps aren't accurate.

      • True good point. Although the seller did the 'good, excellent' rating based on cosmetic appearance only

    • *$340 (sorry wrote it wrong)

Not sure why homersimpson's comment was marked as off topic. You can't get any more on topic than asking about a feature the phone.

All he asked was if it had a notification led.

  • +2

US models have a locked bootloader, so if you intend to root or ROM you can't.

    • +3

I always intend to root but it never happens.

        Like most teenage boys.

        • And married men

  • Going to buy it but then my CommonWealth bank credit card saying 1AUD=0.75USD, which would make it $261…

  • how about $399 for brand new but without packaging??? @ MegaBuy
