    I've flown China southern to Vancouver and back twice now. Nothing to complain about. Yes it might be a bit longer, but no transfer in LA is amazing, and the layovers tend to be pretty good. The airport in Guangzhou is small and nothing to do, but you do get free WiFi

    Edit: I've flown from Perth. So I suppose another airline would be quite a bit faster from Melbourne/Sydney

  Brisbane - toronto seems only available first week of june
