Not much of a deal. ANA/JAL for similar dates cost app $100 more.

2x checked in luggages with the Japanese airlines too.

    • +2

AND you don't have to fly Qantas

    • ANA only gives you 1 x 23kg piece of luggage on their sale fares now. Not sure if JAL is the same.

    Checked-in luggage allowance (1 x 30kg bag)

This isn't correct - for flights excluding QF Domestic and to/from North/South America, Qantas only applies the weight concept (total weight, unlimited number of bags).

    https://www.qantas.com/au/en/travel-info/baggage/checked-bag…

Edit: Qantas gets another slot to HND (3 total) from March (VA's old CNS-HND slot). Given the requirements to use the slot by a certain date and their proposed timetable changes, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of these flights are changed (either time or Tokyo airport)

    • QF is lining up their customers to screw them over? (Again)

      • You'd think that QF wouldn't sell seats that don't exist… again.

        • The CEO wanted to repair relationship with customers.

Oh, wait, she was then C-Customer-Officer and CFO before taking on the top job.

Apparently June/July is the worst time to visit Tokyo???? Unbearable heat if planning to walk around the city all day.

    • correct, very warm and humid

      • +1

        Asia in general.

    • If that's the case why is July so expensive!!!

      • Maybe school holidays?

        • Oh crap you're right I forgot.

    • I think August is worse.

  • Man, get all the insurances you can get as Influenza hitting Japan is very different right now. Quick google will tell you.

Facebook Tokyo Travel with 100k+ members are telling how bad it is right now.

Not to mention the Taiwanese actress died yesterday while at Japan due to Influenza.

    SlavOz wouldn't mind for sure.
