  • Speed camera pro working in the background with google maps?

The features listed above indicate it would work.

Waze is free and is basically guaranteed to have more up to date data.

    • For what? Speed cams…?

      • I use Waze too, it reports speed cameras, fixed red light cameras, RBT's, hazards etc.
Can link with Spotify and it's user-based so reports from other users update the system.

So would you say it's better than Google maps then?

        • Waze is owned by Google.

It's nav is maybe not as good, but it more then makes up for it with user reports :D

      • Waze warns you of all the fixed cams as well as all reported police activity.
It is also my most trusted navigation app. So many times it has directed me around bad traffic.

  • +1 WAZE only all the way.
Has reached critical mass of users I think in Sydney so it's generally great in pinpointing static HWP police. Won't work if you are the first but to date is 99% 😁 Note though it is better in city than regional however, due to number of users drops away. And therefore only for main roads not back streets for same reason. But in Sydney is surprisingly good.

  • Just a warning, Waze has a really scary privacy policy. Not only they suck up your contact details, calendar etc but also the data from your social accounts and more. And they can share it with whoever they want.
