Well done
I like a few brands so I can afford to only have a couple of months stock :)
I still have several jars left over from the previous time it was half price, i might pick up a few to replace the ones i've consumed ;p
How many did you buy? I bought 9 and am on my last one, need to get more this time
I think 10, have like 4 left.
The best before date is not until end of year
Dark Roasted is delicious.
I'll second this!
Food of the Gods…
Zooper Dooper Ingredients:
Water, Sugar, Food Acid (Citric Acid), Flavours, Colours (122, 150d), 110, 102, 123, 133), Preservatives (202, 211, 223)
No thank you watchnerd. They have E numbers in them which is harmful to the ‘elf
The first ingredient is water, that means that the majority of the product is healthy!
LOL, but a colour in a food is like putting dye water, it changes it into something very different
damn that icy pole would make me feel like absolute hell. Wonder how i could ever tolerate them as a kid.
The less you knew the better
the funny thing is the majority is water and yet i've never seen something with so many colours and pres. amazing
Not really amazing when you consider there are 8 different varieties in each pack and the food colouring and preservatives are likely different in each … maybe it's more amazing there is only 6 colour additives for 8 different varieties.
Pics > Mayvers!
Pics or it didn’t happen
zooper goal
i prefer eating peanuts dipped in butter
I just finished the jar of 1/2 price Mayvers peanut butter, perfect timing … still have some of the chocolate one, that was a bit meh.
With all these half price deals at Woolies and Coles, paying full price seems like you are being ripped off.
Way cheaper than Aldi prices, if they sold natural peanut butter that is, which they don’t.
Give them time, they might.
Just only just recently stocked health-conscious stuff like brown rice at my local
Aldi have started selling a All natural peanut butter available in smooth and crunchy nothing but 100% peanuts price $3.
Really?
I checked last week and didn’t see it.
Plus still more expensive than the Coles and Woolies half price deals.
Very new there probably still rolling it out across stores. I’d pick mayvers over the Aldi any day but it’s a good alternative if you’ve finished your stash.
Where are you located? Seen it in stores across Melbourne and have tried it and found great, but prefer the glass jars in which the mayver's are coming in
Wollongong
Is it local or an import? Where are the nuts from?
And yes Sky88 it means I can lower my stash as there is an everyday cheap alternative. Subject to the nuts not being Chinese.
@SamR: can't remember origin, they're imported though - much like everything though unless you count mayvers at 50% Oz nuts
That's why you are seeing more everyday prcing in stores
The Mayvers appears to have a long use by date - the last ones I bought in December have a use by date of mid-Nov this year.
So no excuse not to buy as many as possible!
I think at least 10 bottles might be the go this time around - I ended up having to pay full price after my last 50% off ones ran out.
MAYVERS MAYVERS MAYVERS MAYVERS
SAY MAYVERS AGAIN, SAY MAYVERS ONE MORE GODDAMN TIME
Will some appear in front of me if I do?
MAY……
Still prefer Mother Earth anytime, its on special at Coles https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/361153, stocked up yesterday shelves were pretty empty.
My peanut butter ranking is
1)Mother Earth
2)Pics
3)sanitarium peanut butter99)Mayvers
How long people take to finish one bottle of mayvers?
We go through about 2 a week.
Chadstone, VIC is out of dark roast crunchy
25 jars later… That escalated quickly.
Haven't tried the mayvers dark roast but I wasn't a fan of pics. Anybody able to comment how they compare?
Just my opinion: Mayvers Dark roasted is a tad more fragrant, that 'umami' bit. Pic's also roasted(so I have read) but to the level of 'just right', same as the standard Mayver's jar. I guess by reading here, everyone has their own liking - raw, roasted, dark roasted, charcoal…so on.
Had tried Zimbabwean PB once (a whole jar as a souvenir)and it was vvvv good because it was not mass produced, single origin peanut, dark roasted, non standardisation of smooth and crunchy but somewhere in between smooth and crunchy, rough? BUT it comes in a crappy leaky plastic jar.
Feel like buying more of mayvers but my existing stock wont finish for atleast 8 months
