Their whole approach to online sales is just one of the reasons the company’s gone downhill. Run by Middle-aged white men who never cared enough to adjust.
Is Myer’s IT offshored?
Who knows, both Myer and DJs seem poor online. Stock levels are inaccurate and items sent in seperate packages etc. my point was that they were very late to online shopping and their reputation and sales suffered because of it.
Not sure why the white-men reference? Are all middle aged white men meant to have no clue about online retail? Jeff Bezos from Amazon is a middle-aged white man.
A reference to the lack of diversification on the board. Perhaps a bit passed middle aged, but essentially that’s what they were. I feel if some real effort was made in changing their stock, store wide, they could reinvent the company, but right now they seem stuck in the 90s.
My delivery is taking ages… two delays already. Over a week for in state delivery and won’t come till Monday now at the earliest.

ordered something and paid 12.95 for overnight delivery on a Thursday, didn't receive it until Thursday. they don't have a customer service email so I had to call up and when I asked for refund of the delivery fee the best they could do was a $15 gift voucher 😐

They need a good digital marketer to tell a good IT engineer what to do. The website is horrendous in my view.

Yeh they don't have a warehouse and ship from stores in an area which have stock so trying to get things delivered online is really messy.
Yep completely agreed. I ordered 8 items from the recent further 50% off sale. They sent them in 4 separate deliveries. UNBELIEVABLE!

Worked at the place for 3 months…..worst retail environment I have ever seen. Disorganised at every level. Time for them to shut up shop.
The last time I ordered from them (6 items), they sent each piece from different stores. Lol.
Their stock takes up huge floor space in expensive retail locations hence their main business problem.
Same here, 6 parcels. I love a good bargain but hate to see the waste in logistics (only good for AusPost), including the environmental impact.

- Everytime I need help in-store, there's no reps around, even at the cash registers.
- Never anyone at layby section to pick up my items, had to walk one level up just for someone to ring someone to give my item
- Mens: I am usually a size 30 waist and S shirt, they always seem to never have my size in-store at any of the Myers
As much as I love the one-stop-brand-shop, Myers really needs to find their audience instead of just mass buying items and hoping it would sell.

My bag states FREE shipping but when you click: 'proceed to pay', it states: "Not available for standard delivery" and proceeds to tell me to pay $9.95 for shipping????

Don't get the shipping, if possible get it instore. Why? Bought several items, all of the items has been like "open" before, probably a demo unit. I had to return it and it took ages to process it too.
Decided I better use up a gift card I got for xmas before Myer go belly up! Two handbags at 70% off the original price with free delivery, a win for me.

The reason for all the parcels is there's no central processing warehouse for online orders. All orders are sourced from the stores themselves. So if you order 20 items and those 20 items are scatted around different stores, they will ship you 20 individual packages… Just another example of how little investment Myer put into their online presence.
It’s disappointing Myer and DJ’s are restricted from selling the Industrie brand online. In 2018, you’ve got to wonder why these kinds of restrictions still exist.
Probably so you can buy through Industrie themselves (same with seed, French Connection and Marcs)
