Free music giveaway - Bandit.FM

730
342-672876432252

It’s the season for giving — so as a Commonwealth Bank customer, we’re giving the gift of music.

From now until Christmas, you can download a free music track each week from Bandit.fm. With so many new tunes to choose from, including artists like Guy Sebastian, Kings Of Leon and Ke$ha, you can create your very own playlist for the festive season!

A new promotional code will be available each Friday, until 24 December 2010 from the link below.
There is a maximum of one code redemption per user, per week and your credit must be used within 24 hours.

It does seem to say "download this song", but it just credits your account so I can't see why you can't just pick your own song!

Also says it's for CBA customers only, but there is no authentication process.

CODES:

10/12/2010 | 331-BANDITFM

Has anyone on OzBargain actually paid money to bandit.fm?

Also, was it really wise to make all the codes in the pattern 3[23][0-9]-bandit?

    Keep them coming :)

    • I did for 2 music videos when I first started, only accidently though, lol. Didn't realise my free voucher credit had expired 2 days previously.

    • Their prices are actually higher than iTunes prices. I think.

With iTunes card, you can get 25% off some weeks, and song prices are only around $1.69 instead of $2.20.

      • Prices vary, with many/most $1.69 at bandit. I've found bigpond music to be the cheapest so far, and even cheaper if you're a bigpond customer (I'm not).

    • Yep - both on it's own and in conjunction with vouchers. I mainly spend at bigpond now though - better selection and prices.

    • Not me, I'd just get my music elsewhere, I'm too cheap. :)

I think they expect that their codes will be disseminated, especially if you put it in a daily paper. Frankly they should rework their website if they want more customers, it's too clumsy to navigate.

      • torrents ftw.

        • Guy Sebastian is not available at torrent sites ;p

      Done, thx!

  • anyone know anymore codes?

  • how long do these bandit code promos last for, like the newspaper ones and wen does the credit expire?

    • looks to me like it will last one day.

  • nice one, thanks for posting :)

  • Is this from the extra 0.2%?

No authentication process? Sir Norris will definitely feel the pressure in terms of profit this half-year.

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
So pissed I missed out on the other codes.
    At least I saw this one… :(

  • unfortunately for me, the music I like I can't find on banditfm. I always use the codes when they are available though cause it's great to get free music legally. I don't use torrents sites - I don't trust them.

    • Bandit only lists Sony-distributed musos.

  • Woohoo, bring on more codes!!
