Funny how the popularity of these bags suddenly plummeted once they reached saturation point, despite supposedly being timeless (not trendy!), sensible (not trendy!) and good quality (not trendy!) designs (not trendy!).

I think it’s more that they were popular in the kind of hipster phase where it was highly unfavourable to be trendy or fashionable and so they were justified to be “timeless” rather than trendy. The irony is they seem to no longer be timeless apparently.
