When not carrying bicycles they can be re-purposed to fend off car-jackers :)

Does anyone know how this compares similar products from Pacific or Thule? I can't find any reviews on it.

    • Visually it looks like the Pacific platform carrier. Can't comment on the quality as I'm upgrading from the Thule 970 Xpress

  • Anyone comment on how well it fits kids bikes? I returned a Rhino Rack 4-bike one as the mounting blocks were too big to fit through the kids frames!

    • That’s the tough thing with bike racks as you want to know your bikes will fit so buying online without actually seeing is a bit hard.

    • I'm going to use it for kids bikes too. If the mounting blocks don't reach, I'm planning to use cambuckle tie downs. Should do the trick.

Not the same product, but gives you an indication.

BTW. What model Rhino rack platform carrier did you buy?

        • I get what you mean. The arms are set too far apart. I had some problems with the smaller bikes on the Thule 970 Xpress too. Still managed to wiggle it through. The Rhinos seem to have larger buckles etc.

Just a note though, that the platform bike carrier above is towball mount whereas the one you linked is hitch mount. Might not work for you?

@iwearpants: Actually the main problem was those trianglular rubber mounting blocks. They're so huge they wont fit through the gap on the kids frames.

Hitch or towball is fine - I have a ball mount for the hitch.

    How to delete comment? hmm
