    4K Eneloop Pics

You've taken 4,000 pictures of Eneloops?

    • You're missing a couple zero's.

  • Does this do pretty much everything the Chromecast Ultra would do?

    • -1

Yes but you can look at 4K eneloops with this.

    • Yes, except when I cast from my phone to a Chromecast, it is able to play movies in Dolby 5.1, whereas if I cast Google Play Movies to my MiBox, it stays 2 channel for some reason.

      • +1

It has settings for audio channels

    • It has a user interface and can do kodi/pled but Expect can’t cast Netflix at moment

      • Netflix is one of the standard apps, so no need to cast it.

        • If you want google to cast it

        • Casting is useful if you want to show content from a mobile device using a different account. In my case, my old Google Account (which I rarely use) had a $0.99 movie rental code. But a MiBox can only be configured with 1 account (not multiple, like Android on a phone). So my only option is to use my MiBox as Chromecast. I could not, for the life of me, get it to pick up the Dolby Digital+ audio track which my first-gen Chromecast picks up when plugged into the same AV receiver.

I checked the audio settings, which only let me select whether audio should be HDMI, PCM, SPDIF or auto (or something like that).

  • 3000 business days seems a bit long for me

Am still waiting for my order and it’s been a month already, submit a ticket and was told to wait until 90 days before submitting ticket again. For now am avoiding litb. Again some may have good experience with them.

Wow. You waited a month and they ask you to wait another 3 months before enquiring again???
Sounds like they work for the government. Will skip this company and deal with the other ones.

  • +2

pros: speedy, even can handle some 3d games. Google tv system, great for cnnect other device.
cons: often bt remote lose connection. system has no update for a long time.

  • +1

Not really a great deal. These boxes have sold for much cheaper in past and everyday price on GB is a dollar extra than this price.

  • Has anyone got the firetv and how how does that compare to this?

  • +2

    not really a "bargain"

    same price at gearbest

there are several options which are a few $ cheaper at aliexpress. example here. and another example

    • +1

Be careful, the price on 1st example goes up to $67.99 (still cheaper than LITB) and the 2nd example is highly likely to be the chinese version (MDZ-16-AA as opposed to MDZ-16-AB) which is far inferior, no voice search, netflix at 480p etc.. You can get these for $50aud.

Geekbuying link i posted below seems to be the cheapest at the moment by a few bucks.

  • +6

This is not a deal IMHO. These boxes are $69.90USD on nearly all sites (could even be the RRP). My experience with LITB is postage is so long you may as well go walk to pick it up from China

Even geekbuying is cheaper by a few bucks at $66.90

      Thanks updated description and revoked.

Save yourself the headache with all these Yumcha boxes and buy a NVIDIA Shield TV. They get all the latest updates (Android 7. and has enough grunt to play games and stream 4K content plus all the latest apps

    https://shield.nvidia.com/support/nvidia-android-tv/release-…

    • I have 2 Nvidia Shields and 2 Xiaomi Mi boxes. There is almost NO difference between them in what they can play media wise. Nvidia has other features like casting PC games and probably faster graphics for android games. However, for media playback, using Kodi, both are great. And this is 1/3 the price.

      • -3

Sorry, Mi box is a 1/3 of the price for a reason.Nvidia is far better.

    • But I love yum cha

  • I bought this a year ago cheaper from aliexpress

  • mibox4 is out. i am waiting the new international version.

    • The mi box for was just a hardware upgrade for the Chinese version. No info on a internal version and unlikely to actually happen for a while

  • Looks like Gearbest has Mi4 https://www.gearbest.com/tv-box/pp_1633396.html AU$82.95
Original Xiaomi Mi4C Patchwall Amlogic S905L TV Box - BLACK 256730301
    1GB RAM + 8GB ROM / 2.4G Wi-Fi / BT4.1+ EDR / Supports 4K HDR / H.265 / DTS-HD

looks to be android 5.0 where the Mi box 3 is android TV 6.0
