True, noticed that only valid for first year. Was about to get one and noticed a 10%VAT added on.
That's the worst part, their normal fees are too high. They trap you in with these low fees.

Is it at least worth it for you to have it under Wix for that much? How much do you try to change it?

Sorry didn't get a notification that you posted.I was looking into ways you can convert wiz into WordPress out of interest to if you'd want to and it is possible but the themes don't transfer over :(
It is pretty slow consider (I do my own web design so was wondering the extent of effort to transfer it across).
@K1LL3R12: You can transfer the feeds/blog, but with the pages, I think it I would just have to do them again from scratch.

how's websites created with Wix vs something like Wordpress in terms of quality results? I understand Wix is probably based on a bunch of templates or something…just curious…
Wix is drag and drop, easy for newbies. But I regret not going with WordPress. WordPress is much more customisable, Wix isn't.
Once you have Wix, it is hard to port to it to another platform.
WordPress shits all over Wix.
Wix is like the Black and Decker of Website builders and hosters. Good to mount a picture on the wall, but anything more serious and you'll be in pain.
Go with WordPress - tons of support and a huge helpful community.

you're beter off in the long run with a wordpress site. it's easy to move & heaps of people out there to help.
I have found Wix to be very good. Great interface and very powerful. Never had any issues with speed. For around $120 a year without discount you get good hosting and easy to use interface. Last time I looked at the wordpress interface it wasnt even close to wix but maybe that has changed in the last 12 months??
Wix is nice, but slow. Also after the initial discount on one year, you have to keep paying full fees. Discounts like these do not apply for existing accounts :-(
