Just like last week's deal on Coronas, getwinesdirect.com is having another deal. This time, its Crown lager. The coupon is pg 20 of the Herald Sun 8/12/10 newspaper. So cut it out and get the big liquor superstores to price match it.

EDIT: Its on page 20 of the 'switched on' booklet in the middle of today's Herald Sun

Will the price match only work for Melbournians as they have a physical store in suburban Richmond? Other areas would probably be asked to factor in freight for price matching.

    Thanks for the post.

    • People managed to get last week's Corona special in rural parts of Victoria. One of the readers said he managed to get Dan Murphy's in Ballarat. So I would think the price matching by the big stores are rather lenient but its would be easier for melbournians.

  • Why cant we get the same price in SA? :(

    • In SA we have the 10c deposit per bottle. That automatically boosts the price of a 24 pack by $2.40. The good news is the money can be retrieved and is environmentally beneficial.

      • Bad news is that its no longer profitable to throw the bottles at your children because those pennies add up fast.

  • wasn't crown last week @ dan murphy $35

  • Any one know cheap VB/Crown/Coronas in SA?

  • Well, Pg 20 of the Herald Sun today has nothing about the mentioned coupon….

  • seconded - cant find advertisement at all :(

Good luck getting a price match from most stores. Some wont bother with online deals, or sell below their cost price. You would have to get a clueless checkout person that didn't care at all in order to do it most likely.

    • I had no problems buying 2 slabs of Corona at Dan's using 2 vouchers from last week's special. I think the 135 votes speaks for itself.

    • "Some wont bother with online deals"

It's not an online deal, it's in the newspaper… and besides, the add says "Walk in customers only"

  • Can you actually do a price match with this coupon print out?

    • No

I went to three Dan Murphy stores last week and were refused the deal with a printout ads… finally got through at a First Choice store, just mentioned that it it on special, but the cashier first made a call to getwines direct to confirm stock availability

  • its in the age today too

  • Dan Murphy sold me mine for $29

    • That was the one at Forrest Hill. The one at Glen Waverley charged $29.90 - go figure…

  • First Choice in Plenty Valley (Vic) matched price. Just had to have original coupon and pay cash.
