I bought a Siemens washing machine on boxing day 2011 and it is also called an iQ700. Back then I paid about $1700 from memory with a price-match and a $200 rebate. Would be interesting to see what differences there are as I think mine weighs 80kg and the spinning goes up to 1600rpm. Came with a 5yr warranty compared to the Bosch 2yr warranty. Good machine.

    • Warranty and Installation:
      Warranty
      2 Years

      • I guess they've had to compromise somewhere if they are in this price range now. My 5 year warranty ended end of 2016 and I never needed it. If I was in the market now, I'd probably have a go at these. Consumer laws effectively make the warranty more than 2 years these days anyway.

        • Thanks for vouching for reliability. I am eyeing this one or the iDos versions. (Auto detergent dispensing)

        • @lazydavy:

Went through the same decision prior to choosing this one. The self dispensing one is eligible for a 300 cashback however couldn't find it less than 1795 so opted for this.

I reckon this has to be a ripper of a deal given how the Bosch is priced on sale at 959 at HN. It's effectively the same machine just with a different style

I think the iq is their equivilent of Bosch series 6 or 8 or whatever.

This isn't the top of the line self dosing however seems identical to the Bosch series 8 which is well thought of. Looks nice too

  • I can't figure out what hoops need to be jumped through for the $200 cashback.

    • Just go to the Siemens website and there is the page there

  • Go to the Siemens website link there

      You mean here: http://siemens-home-promotions.com.au/Landing
Give it a try and tell me what you see. I certainly don't see what I need to buy in addition to the washing machine to be eligible for the $200 cashback. EDIT, I thought you needed to buy other items to qualify. I understand now. Ignore me.

Yes but they don't have to have stars on their sleeves ,
      Or do they ,

      Obey 🌟

  • All good I understand. It's pretty good

You get 200 for washer, then an additional 400 if you buy a dryer on same transaction

That's why we all come here

  • From the website:
    "ACT - In stock
    NSW - In stock
    QLD - In stock
    WA - In stock
We are currently not delivering to other states. We apologise for the inconvenience." No luck in Victoria!

I would try at E and S trading

They have it for 1095 with a 5 year warranty at moment. Im confident they would price match it

    • Or SA?

  • When is the deadline?
28/Jan in the photo but 28/Feb in T&C

    https://www.siemens-home-promotions.com.au/Laundry/PersonalDetails#

    edit: oops, my bad
so we need to buy a washer within 24 hours and claim the cashback by 28/Feb

I just bought one but it seems they don't send an automated online receipt. I really hope the order is processed and invoice created before the cutoff deadline!

Looks like this might be eligible for a further $200 rebate in QLD ($200 for a 4 star energy rated washing machine, https://www.qld.gov.au/community/cost-of-living-support/abou…). You can't claim it yet but it applies to purchases after 1 Jan 2018.
