8% off Sitewide @ GearBest

660
GBCoupon8

Not sure when will that be expired (guessing probably end of Jan), I just use it today and it works.

EDIT: Note that it only can be applied to full-priced items (not already discounted) so if a product already on sales then it may have less discount than the original sales price.

    What did you buy?

    Any bargains?

The problem with this site-wide discount code is that they can only be applied to full-priced items (not already discounted) and those prices are often greatly inflated. So it's better to wait for the specific items you want to be discounted, often 30-50% off and cheaper than this.

    • Preach it brother!

I'm assuming this can't be combined with other coupon codes?

    • +3

It can't be combined with anything

  • +6

Better off asking for a discount code from Gb rep.

These discounts codes should generally only be used on very niche items that never see a discount but for anything posted on Ozbargain before, just wait for either a deal or a Email Only offer.

I think the TWITTER code is also 8% off the whole site

Got a Li-ion charger, https://www.gearbest.com/chargers/pp_1044646.html, which is not on discount.

edfoo is correct, as most of their stuff are on flash sales, so this code is less useful than it looks.

    • cool

    • +1

Yep, these codes usually override the flash sale prices so it becomes a discount on the original price.

Gearbest price-jacking puts eBay price-jacking to shame.

  • So is this still considered 'bargain' ?

    • +3

If what you want is full price, 8% discount is still a discount :)

    • +2

      Yes it is, as 8% > 0%. In other words (numbers), 0.08 > 0.00

      Easy.

Can we please ban these fake coupons from these Chinese retailers? It's valid on almost nothing on the site except the odd over inflated item in which case you would need 50%…

Ooh now I can buy another cheap tablet and regret it but secretly enjoy it.

    • +1

Mind me asking which tablet you're getting, I'm thinking about the chuwi surbook mini (or a samsung tab a with s pen). Also what tablets do you have that you secretly enjoy?

      • +1

Hahah I was being sarcastic I'm actually not getting anything at least for now. I'm gonna probably buy a win10 one later and I was looking at the surboook mini but it seems fairly cheap and not really worth the price.

I think MrSammyMcG is talking about the tablet called Viagra…

      • Im 19 son, that's probably not necessary.

        • You never know :p

  • It is only good if you need something never have discount.

  • Mmmm not so good, would be willing to pull the trigger on the Xiaomi home security system since i miss the bargain each time but it's '11% off' so this coupon doesn't work.

Edit: LITB has a good deal going, picked it up for $64.

  • Off rrp means it brings down to above normal price?

Gearbest seems to be losing customer's package on a regular basis and offering 50% refund as compensation. They blame the lack of shipping insurance as the reason for not being able to provide full refund when they themselves seem to be unable to track their own package worth hundreds of dollars. They have lost me as their customer.

    • What about getting a full refund from PayPal?

      • I have raised a dispute with PayPal and asked for my credit card provider to do a chargeback on the transaction. Hopefully I will get a full refund like so many victims I found online.
