  • Don't most gaming keyboards have macro keys?

    • +4

      No?

      • Then what features make a gaming keyboard different to a standard mechanical keyboard?

        • +1

It's called marketing. Corsair K65, K70 RGB mechanical keyboards are considered "gaming" keyboards. Neither of them have any macro keys.

edit: but i guess not just marketing. Some manufacturers will up things like polling rates, response frequencies, etc.

        • @nairdajun: macro keys are quite useful when gaming

        • +1

@alexGoodwin: granted, but just because it doesnt have macro keys doesnt mean its not a "gaming" keyboard in the way that manufacturers will market the product.

        • Everything with RGB LEDs are marketing as GAMING accessories.

  • I want that tenkeyless keyboard…

    • is it me or does it look a bit tacky? (the font of the keys etc)

      • +1

Im not sure…but the rgb backlight looks cheap and ugly imo

  • +1

Still waiting for a cheap driver-less brown key board to come up cheap. Basically, I just want another board the same as my Deck Hassium, but I don't want to pay $200 for it.

    • +1

im still waiting for a RGB mech ergo keyboard to come out

      • Have you looked at https://ergodox-ez.com in currently debating whether to bite the bullet…

        • ive seen similar on amazon but id prefer like a microsoft shaped ergo with a wrist rest type thing and just a normal split down the middle

    • +1

Great board. I also got the Francium but regret TKL. Had to take the Hassium to work and leave the Francium at home.

  • is there any red or brown switch with nicer fonts for office use?

    • +1

I bought iKBC KD104 Cherry MX Red Silent for work, the model that has NO RGB. It looks like a good old keyboard. They have cheaper model with MX Brown and LED lighting or slightly more expensive model with RGB. Only MWave carries them in Australia.

      • Those look like good value. Normally the sub $100 ones use off brand switches - or have some other crippling issue.

  • Blue Switches (Gaote switch / Otemu switch)

I think there's an error in the description. It says that the keyboard will look 'great on your desk', but it also clearly states that there's RGB lighting.

    Which is it?

    • you can have both but not at the same time..turn off RGB to look good..turn on RGB to not look good

  • I've got the earlier version of this 'board with Cherry Brown switches. It's perfectly capable for daily use but I wouldn't put it into the league of a proper 'gaming keyboard' due to the limited software available for it. If all you want is a decent mechanical 'board and you can put up with the garish lighting (or just turn it off altogehter) then at this price it's a good deal.

    Ewwww, ruined by Kogan branding.

    • +1

literally would be better all black

    • +1

      Nothing a Sharpie won't solve.

  • Rgb for the win !!

  • -1

-1 Probably a pricing error like DSE always claim.

    • Nope, mine was posted today. Thanks OP.
