As 6ft male probably closer to 180lb than i'd like, this meal is more than enough for lunch… you kinda dont want to screw yourself over so you got some space for dinnner.
I eat this at work then have a glass of water to wash out that macca's taste and its fine.
If I'm pigging out you can do 2 and thats only $10.
One meal is enough for lunch, I used to do the 2x burger deals at hungry jacks and just ate both because I paid for 2, not because I was hungry.

Deals been going for a while but the mad thing about it is you can modify the burger and turn it into a $5.60 small quarter pounder meal very easily via the app (app is pretty flaky at times)
Remove chicken sauce
remove sliced tomato
remove slice of lettuce
add another slice of cheese for $.60
= $5.60 small quarter pounder meal
I also for shits and giggles have made a quarter pounder sized big Mac

remove ketchup

Why would an ozbargainer remove something that is 'free' anyway? It doesn't reduce the price so I sure as hell want my vegies :)

Macfeast = qtr pounder + lettuce + tomato so you’re getting less value for more cost.

Rather have lettuce and tomato and might be slightly healthier for those that care. Plus mcfeast costs more so you’re still getting less value doing that.
That would perhaps be worth it if the app (at least on Android) wasn't such a colossal clusterf**k that crashes constantly.
I think this deal is only available via the App? I think the price in store was more, UNLESS it's between 10:30 am and 2 PM.
So the advantage of ordering via the App is that you can get this deal 24/7.

BL4real nailed it with the words “for a limited time only”. We tried to buy $5 McFeasts at Chinderah BP’s Maccas just south of Tweed Heads but were knocked back. We were told the “deal” finished at some weird time of day (cannot remember if we were told 1.30pm, 2.00pm or some other stupid time). That was the icing on the cake after wasting valuable time on the McF’in app that is as useful as a pocket in a singlet.
It's available between 10:30 to 2pm. When they put it in the register it will come up full price first of all, but if you add anything to your order (like using your feedback to get a small fries or hash brown for free) or change your order (to say a 600ml bottle of water which reduces the price by 5c) or when they finalise the order to pay, the price will automatically update from something like $9 to $5. When I've just ordered the meal, they often say "that's $9.10…. oh that's $5" after they click the payment button..
yep, only till 2pm, and works weekends also.
this has been going for probably for 4 months now …. some staff look surprised when price goes from $9.90 to $5, others are used to it.
It's the best value burger deal (burger, drinks, fries) you can get at Maccas for lunch

Yep, went to change the coke to a coffee on the weekend and the $5 mcfeast deal was then over $10!
Shouldn't be, having a small flat white instead of the drink makes it about $6.25 (from much experience)
App works anytime (Ordered one at 11:00pm on a Saturday night no worries), in-store is 10:30am to 2:00pm according to the website.
And gonski, the McFeast itself no longer shows in the App for me, for any local store.

Half the time I can't even get the menu to appear. I've uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times now.
Crazy that such a large corporation can have such a bad app.
I noticed that the family McValue box disappeared from the app some time last year. When I asked them at the store they said "it's a system glitch and will be back shortly". I haven't seen it back in the menu (when it loads) since then.
Yep can also confirm i get that useless response from Maccas that a glitch is stopping the value boxes from being added back to the app. This has been ongoing for over 2 months now!
yeah, they should have gotten the Domino app coders to do it for them ….
I'm sure the maccas app was designed by an ex gov enterprise architect, and coded by IBM … always wondering what happened to the gov IT worker they sacked for the Census debarcle…. he was incharge of the Maccas app.

I find that I can add items, but when I try to pay it just sits there verifying/processing my payment like an LG bootloop.
I think if you have too many offers things at once it fails. I tried to have a $5 mcFeast meal and a free cheeseburger once and it wouldn't let me complete payment.
Well that makes sense, no point ordering unless you're stacking discounts though. I was trying to get the best value with my Amex cashback.
@Tiggrrrrr: Actually I misremembered, it was two McFeast meals, 25% off $10+ spend and a free cheeseburger (the 25% off and free cheeseburger wouldn't go together)
Yeah this deal has been ongoing for a while.
However i did notice 2 weeks ago Maccas removed the option of changing the beef patty to a McChicken. Before you could remove all the ingredients and just leave lettuce, mayo, bun and add chicken patty for $2. The beef patty removed $2.25 from the price. So you essentially could get a small McChicken meal for $4.75 :) … however the bastards removed the ability to add chicken now :(

It's been on for ages. Was around a week back and also Saturday , the last two times I went to Maccas.
McFeast bug been fixed on apps for months now. Used to be able to order anytime, not lunch hours.
I can still order this deal at any time on the app (except breakfast time). I ordered it at 8 pm last Sunday.
Got it working last night, plus McDouble for dinner. As others say, the apps is bugfest.
The McFeast dissapeaared from the app menu at South Hurstville store but unsure if it pops up during lunch hours. Still doesnt show up now. It is on the menu instore at full price
One of the highest priced McDonald’s and rarely participate in offers. Not surprised!
for me the app it says all the stores are always 'closed at this time'….like lunchtime…so hopeless

Do they actually know if we have paid? Each time i pick up the order they always ask if i hv paid. One ocassion even the staff asked me to produce the card
