Was looking for a decent dual sim phone on budget. This looks like a decent phone with good specs and eGlobal pricing seems better than ebay or Ali Express atm

I am using ZenFone 2, its not bad bad phone but it's very old model, I have been using this for 2.5 years now, I am thinking of changing to A1, few things here you get latest Android and might be supported for coming next few years, while Asus is not updating ZenFone 2 anymore. I would suggest go for A1, but that could be biased as I am already due for change.
Go A1 for stock Android. Performance will be better and you'll probably get longer support for the phone.
The Mi A1 ticks a lot of boxes for your money, but remember no B28 :-(
No value here when you have to add postage + remote area fee which almost comes to $100
I've owned the Xiaomi Mi A1 4GB/64GB for 3 months now and I can honestly say that this is an awesome phone for the price.It performs very well camera is good and has pretty decent battery life.Great screen and reall good features.It also has Android One and so you get a stock standard clean no bloatware version of google Android and you are aways the first to get the google updates so you are future proofed in that sense.Ive has 3 major updates from Google in the last 3 months.
All in all an awesome budget smartphone

might be apps as they are from playstore but google wouldn’t update the OS as they didn’t design the hardware …. they do updates for xiaomi hardware ?
Yes, Google does the updates for the Xiaomi Mi A1 because it is one of the Android One program phones which all run stock Android and are guaranteed updates for at least 2 years after release.

Can confirm it's stock Android. Part of the android one program..xiaomi hardware good software… Hence worth the money.

OzB folks, between Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML 4GB/64GB and Mi A1 4GB/64GB, which one is better value for money? I understand there is ~$80 price difference for plastic vs metallic finish body, which doesn't bother me much. Performance and usage wise, any ideas which one is better?
