    Seriously good post these Wenger watches are great. Have a Wenger roadster from 2014 and still looks brand new. Swiss made watches for sub $100 is great.

        I've never touched a similar Eco-Drive, though my wife's 3 are well made. My Wenger was insanely cheap at US$39.99 + US$6.34 Shipping. It came in a stiff cardboard box, not the tin Amazon shows, but I don't care. The build quality is superb and not remotely cheap. It feels and looks like a $300 watch. I admit I am prejudiced towards Swiss Made watches.

          I have a few Ecodrives and I feel that the Wenger I got has better quality.

          Ecodrives are typical midrange Jap…. my Wenger has sapphire glass and it feels like an entry swiss.

          @tonyjzx: Yes, only a few Eco-Drives feature sapphire crystal windows. Amazon specifications state the Wenger 72801 has mineral crystal, but Member WatchNerd's description is correct. The caseback says 7280X.

      I'd pick the 72801 out of the above as well. 41mm would be just right on my wrist, and I've always liked field watches anyway. Good choice, PJC! Crazy value for a Swiss with sapphire. Do you like the brown leather strap?

        It is the first leather strap I have used for many years and it is rather well made. My review from a few days ago:-

        Apparently Fastway prioritise Amazon deliveries. Yesterday morning when checking the tracking ETA was 10 January; it arrived that afternoon. The calfskin leather strap shows 20mm width, disproving Amazon specs of 31mm. One leather keeper is static and the other adjustable. This watch is pleasantly chunky without heaviness and appears larger than 41mm because the lugs protrude more than average, enhancing its masculine sporty aesthetics. 100m Water Resistance means swimming is practical with a non-leather strap. Hour and minute hands are luminous and the red seconds hand precludes the wrath of Member AngryChicken, hopefully.

        Produced before 2017, this model qualifies for Swiss Made nomenclature as the movement was assembled in Switzerland and the components of Swiss manufacture account for minimum 50% (nowadays 60%) of total value. It is certain some Chinese parts were also used.

        The stainless steel looks and feels very smooth, unlike some Invicta watches. The price is currently US$45.39 but may again return to US$39.99 which I paid. Finding equal quality and features for that amount is particularly difficult. Despite Amazon specifying Mineral Crystal, the window's Sapphire Coated Crystal is a valuable protective feature which numerous watches costing 200% more still lack.

    For those interested in (football/soccer)

    I wrote this on another forum. A bit of banter. Otherwise the jokes don't work.

    As you would expect this Wenger watch is on the cheap! 65% Discount! Great watch for those who are cash 'strapped'.

    Doesn't inspire much confidence as a 'Roadster' watch though, considering that a certain Wenger is 3-4-3 on the Road.

    but I am pleasantly surprised that the strap is Silicone/Leather and not plastic, perhaps some Wenger's Judas days are behind them, with Sanchez potentially staying.

    4 Star might be a bit on the generous side though, as a brand that cannot even compete in the CL.

    Hope the deal breaker is not the clasp though, it is not pin/tang but rather buckle, but maybe we should not be surprised as a certain Wenger's team are known for buckling. I posted it on this football forum, as it relates to Wenger and is a Round, Leather item.

    Happy buying, or rather 'Almost buying'. For those who are interested in Silver, I can find other brands for you.

          I wouldn't be worried about the band so much as they wear out & can be easily changed.
          The main difference is the case is all black & the one in my main link isn't.
