3840x1080
Pass
It's much less of a problem for games than it is for desktop use. But that said it's not like it's unuseable.
It's exactly the same size and resolution as two 1080p 24" monitors stuck together with no bezel between them.
If it's the same as these

https://www.pccasegear.com/products/40647/samsung-c49hg90-49…then "save $1000" is a bit deceiving given it sells for ~$2190 regularly, plus the RRP is $2499.
Yeah I was about to comment. Bullshit saving figure.
The super ultra-wide Samsung C49HG90 49-inch screen with its innovative 32:9 aspect ratio means you get to see game scenes in their entirety, exactly as their developers intended.
pretty sure no game was developed with 32:9 as the intended audience lol.
Indeed. Most games are 16:9. Also a number of games has broken menu etc. on 32:9 aspect ratio. Had one but got rid of it because it was a pain.
yeah, ive got a 21:9 and most things are f'd up as it is so i couldnt imagine the scaling on this. Although H-Res would be a perfect 2x scale
Most is a stretch, 21:9 is fast becoming common place.
@scuderiarmani: Yeah ive been using 21:9 for a while now and have had barely any problems. Cant imagine ever going back to 16:9
most things are f'd up as it is
I think you need to google a little bit, there are hardly any ( reasonably contemporary and popular) games that I'm aware of that cannot be played in 21:9 although that said sometimes FOV is unfixable.
And you can simply switch to 16:9 res and have the same experience as a regular monitor in any case …
@Diji1: You clearly dont have one haha, I dont need to google anything as I use one every single day! Everything can be played in 21:9 but our discussion is about game optimization not whether or not itll work. Game devs are obviously designing games based on 16:9 as it is by far the most common aspect ratio
first i was like WOW - WANT.
then saw the resolution,
you gotta be joking lolLol that product picture demonstrating the tilt function. I guess it's handy for people with crooked desks?
1080p..no wonder why it already got a $1k price cut.
Kmart, Amart and now Umart?
Umart has been around for years. Surprised you have never heard of it..
So has their website apparently. It played annoying music at me last night :|
Umart Worker:
We should get a discount going for the 2200 monitor, maybe 200 bucks?Umart Exec:
Lets just bump up the price 800 bucks then drop it 1k so everyone thinks were heroesUmart Worker:
Genius!OZB:
Save $1000
Looks like they’ve been the eBay school of economics…
Yeah. Claim an RRP price that's hundreds of dollars above the real RRP.
Good to see Red Dwarf fans know a real bargain.
Yeah funny that. They claim RRP $2999 with a $1000 saving.
Except the real RRP for this monitor is $2499.95.
http://www.samsung.com/au/monitors/c49hg90/
What a lot of baloney that claimed RRP by Umart is. It's an outright lie. This monitor is $2499.95 max any price over that is above the RRP.
ontop of that most sites are selling it just under 2200 bucks so yeah this is not really a saving at all haha
If only I had a desk big enough…
no harm letting it dangle over the sides :P
that's what she said
Saw this in a shop.. Its actually massive.. Wouldnt mind one… But i got no money.
