Free Bananas for I Love Sydney fans at Customs House – come get some!

The mystery behind the unexplained 5 metre mound of bananas in Sydney has finally been solved. The hoard belongs to one of the world’s most loved gorillas, Donkey Kong.

The 10,000 bananas are outside Customs House, Circular Quay.

Celebrate the latest release of Donkey Kong on the Nintendo Wii and bring a big bag down to take home the bananas!

I Love Sydney fans are invited to bring a big bag down to Customs House to take home the bananas from 5:30pm.

I would go get some but don't work in the city unfortunately.

EDIT: I also just got a text from Nintendo saying there will also be giveaways, and you can play the game on the big screen.

      Size isn't everything…

They should have done this outside Parliament House instead - that way the monkeys in there can help give out the bananas… 8-)

  • Let's see, if each person gets 5 bananas, that's enough for only 2000 people. A saving of about $1.50. I think I'll skip the crush; thank you all the same. But I might go there to take some pictures. :)
