Spend $5 at Woolworths Deli and Get James Squire Golden Ale 6 Pack for $14

100

Went in to buy 1 bottle of James Squire Golden Ale to make some slow cooked beer chicken tacos.

Was told I could buy a 6 pack for $14 if he scans a bar code so I bought two 6 packs. He said you're supposed to spend $5 at the deli and show them the receipt to get this deal.

This could apply to other drinks too.

It's in the slow cooker at the moment so can't vouch for its tastiness yet.

I looked at a few recipes online and ended up with:
1 can of beer (I put in a bottle and a bit)
      4 chicken breasts
      2 packets taco seasoning
And put it all into a slow cooker

Went in to buy one beer, came out with 12. How it should've been in the first place!
    +1 for the golden ale.

So you went in to buy one bottle and walked out with 12? That's quite an upsell lol

  • "he scans a bar code so I bought two 6 packs" so what barcode do you need?

    • He explained it was a current promotion where you show the bws person a receipt with over $5 spent in the deli and you get the 6 pack for $14. The person serving me scanned a barcode behind the counter.

      My receipt says "receipt rewards".

  • When Coles have this deal it’s $12 a 6er

  • Aah gone are the days of $10 James Squire.

  • 14… $56 a slab

at BWS you can get 2 slabs for $102.40 (if you're buying more than a nights worth, gents)

      What if you're a woman?

I'm sure there's some cider or vodka cruisers on special too.

Needs to be $10 to be a bargain

$56 a slab is no big deal.

Tried to charge me $16 even tho the coupon said $14…Then they blamed the govt ( told them that should be only $14.60 if recycling tax added) :-)

    • Recycling tax - what's that?
Thought they were making us do our own recycling these days (NSW).
