Walked into Coles today in Sydney and sighted a yellow sign stating: buy 6 x espressotoria 12 packs and get a free espressotoria pod machine valued at $99 dollars. A quick check reveals Woolworths are selling the machine for $49.00, half price. A quick price check reveals the cheapest pods you can buy are $7.69 being the Italian Coffee flavour making this a $46.14 machine with 72 pods. Cheapest it has been on Ozbargain with pods. According to the yellow sign it appears to expire on the 9th of Jan. Mixed reviews for this machine however it does have a 1 year warranty on it.
6 x 12 Pack Expressotoria Vittoria + Expressotoria Capino Coffee Pod Machine (Valued at $99) from $46.14 @ Coles

Uhhh, did you read the title and body of the post?
Edit: Looks like the OP did a sneaky edit. Sorry!
The original post listed pods for $3.50
The price of the original post is referring to Woolworths, the updated post is referring to Coles.
How long do pods last?
Bought some on the weekend with a Use by Date of November 2019.
Picked one of these up during a $49 promotion a couple of years ago, has run without an issue. It's a perfectly cromulent machine but I think pod coffee all tastes the same, i.e. better than instant but not a patch on decent espresso.
woops my mistake. It was coles. Mean's the deal isn't as good.
I used one at a hotel a few weeks ago. The Coffee in the pods is nice but very weak. Need at least 2 to match 1 aldi pod in strength. Theres just not enough coffee in the pod for a decent cuppa for me. If you like a weaker or smaller coffee fix it would be pretty good. I always see the pods half price at around $4.20 for 12.
Since the machine is free… can I buy the coffee pods, take the machine, return the coffee pods the next day, keep the machine and buy the pods cheaper from somewhere else?
Try it and report back!!
Do Coles price match? Take in the Woolies $3.50 price photo and get it matched. Buy 6 packs @ $21 and get the machine?
Think I’m going to go test it this morning… gotta be a hack here somewhere… :D
never had a supermarket do a price match before…
I've had one of these machines for one year now, use it almost daily and still going strong.
Best $50 I ever spent.
And when the pods are half price I stock up big time. Not happening at Coles at MooPo (Moonee Ponds). There's a machine here, too - taunting me.
Had to call six stores but finally tracked one down. My first pod machine and i'm not disappointed, especially for the price. Thanks OP.
I'd still take my Aeropress with freshly ground Vittoria over it but this wins hands down for convenience.Hopefully Melton South has some in stock.
Local IGA's currently selling this system 70% off makes it $29.9, plus this brand coffee capsule's got half price very often
Have one for camping. I am a self confessed coffee snob and would prefer to take the Gaggia with me but this is quick and easy. We just have a shot or two in the mug, top up with hot water and then some milk. Yes, doesn’t come close to a proper espresso but it serves its purpose for us very well.
That looks like a Coles tag, not Woolworths.
