  • I think you will find that this is a stand alone game compared to company of heroes and expansions.
It only has the multi-player and allows you to pay real money for in-game advantages.

I think it may be a good game, but the way you said it as the "Company of Heroes" game I believe is incorrect. So I would not say buying the games and expansions is a waist of money, as it still has the campaign and different multi-player.

  • No need to waste $ buying the games and expansions. Enjoy.

Waste $? FYI, this online version isn't the same game as the retail versions. It's a modified version of the retail multiplayer. People who want to experience Company of Heroes how it's meant to be played would be better off buying all 3 games for $10-15 when it's on sale on Steam. Last time it was $11.22 USD..

  • I heard from friends who are legions to the game and they say it was the same stuff, with even more added benefits e.g. actual Heroes in each gameplay.

    • No. It's based on the original 'Company of Heroes' game but doesn't have the additions from 'Tales of Valor' or 'Opposing Fronts'.

  • As a owner to the entire set of CoH games (CoH, OF, ToV), i would say the retail game is still vastly superior in gameplay/customization, eg: 12 doctrine/4 race + 3-5 customization for each faction. Plus the modding scene is still pretty active producing well polished mods such as Eastern Front (russians) and Joint Ops (Co-op mode).

  • A plus is that you also get the original's campaign for free. So basicly free CoH (+Online stuff), minus the expansions.

  • It said download now, please check back.
