I think you will find that this is a stand alone game compared to company of heroes and expansions.
It only has the multi-player and allows you to pay real money for in-game advantages.
I think it may be a good game, but the way you said it as the "Company of Heroes" game I believe is incorrect.So I would not say buying the games and expansions is a waist of money, as it still has the campaign and different multi-player.
