Getting This code can't be applied to your order.
This is for a IP camera, $106.00. not sure why this is not working?
    anyone else?

    • Same or me…it seems it is for limited items only not everything….

    • getting the same msg

    • +1

Yep, trying to buy a frying pan for $100.. "This code can't be applied to your order."

  • +4

    From Officeworks ebay page

"Thank you for visiting the Officeworks eBay store.
Our products are temporarily unavailable while eBay has a site wide event.
Because Officeworks is determined to ensure that we offer our customers, like you, low prices every day no matter how and where you choose to shop with us, it is important that all of our customers are getting the same low price in our stores, on our website, with our app, or on our eBay store.
Thus our products will be available shortly after the site wide event has finished."

    • not the first time

    • Not participating in a site-wide, wow.

    • wow ! Officeworks is gonna miss out big time. got quite a few items that I added to my cart from them. Now the sales is just gonna go to other businesses. Too bad Officeworks.

    • Because Officeworks is determined to ensure that we offer our customers, like you, low prices every day no matter how and where you choose to shop with us, it is important that all of our customers are getting the same low price in our stores, on our website, with our app, or on our eBay store.

What a load of rubbish, what about people using sites like cashrewards? Disable your ebay account if you want to be such illogical jerks. What about when someone does a price match? Logically everyone else should pay the same price across the country.

  • Same error for me but mine is an item from Supercheap so i assume it falls under “Car” as an excluded category 😞

  • 4 different items in cart wont work , seperate them in to singles one by one and code won't work on any all in a catergory that should work.
    EBAY FAIL AGAIN

          Negative Vote
          Purpose:
To let others know about issues with the deal

          Hmmm

    • +1

  • +2

The front page of eBay mentions the code so clearly they're having issues. Better to wait than jumping on the heard of neggers.

  • not working…

  • not working for a rice cooker either. wtf!

Not working for an Xbox One X, BS!

  • +1

If it starts working I like the look of this Asus 1070 Ti for $599.10 shipped: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173007091116

  • +1

Looks like eBay was nervous that Amazon was gonna have a massive 10% off sale today, and since that didn't happen (apart from few items here and there), so they're trying to pull the rug from under our feet? I hope it's a technical glitch and the sale will kick off soon. SMH!

    • i doubt it daddy

    • It’s on the front page. You’d think it would be working or it’s false advertising.

  • Hey guys, I dont seem to be able to get this code to work. trying to use it on a laptop at the Binglee Ebay store. Has anyone used it on their store?

    • You’re not alone.

  • im after the Ipad on the officeworks ebay, i added the ipad in my cart, but now they can't process to checkout because the seller closed for Holiday, can't even do pick up.

Not working for Appliances Online too.. trying to buy a fridge

    • working now!

  • +3

Waiting on eBay to connect to their live chat. Best way to find out instead of crying wolf.

    • I am connecting too.

      • I think they got flooded as I never got through. Seems other people had success however.

        • Yep I am still waiting

  • @Loopyloop I was looking at the GTX 1080 with POWERUP - arent there better deals than this ?

    • Nah the 1070Ti is pretty much a 1080 (yeah yeah one less shader module) and I haven't seen any 1080's with aftermarket coolers below $600 from an Australian retailer. I have been also keeping an eye on EVGA 1070's from Amazon, lowest they got was ~$550AUD shipped back on black Friday.

  • -1

i think ebay has cancelled this sale

    • +2

How could they cancel it if they only just started advertising it on the front page.

      • +1

read the terms and conditions " eBay reserves the right to cancel the offer at any time"

  • Ebay tech might have posted this still in hangover from last night….lol

  • Looks like the PUNCH code isn't working for anything. I've tried it with electronics, cookware and toys. Getting the same error "This code can't be applied to your order."

  • -5

The code only works if you pick something from ebay's boxing day deals. it doesn't work on everything. What a shame of deal for the boxing day. I guess they are buoyed by amazon's non-arrival.

    • +3

That's not true, even clicking through onto their landing page, none of the items work, it's a sitewide sale.

  • Thank you for visiting the Officeworks eBay store.
Thus our products will be available shortly after the site wide event has finished.

  • +3

chatting to online rep, says there might be some delay in launching the promo, whattttttt

    • +14

Sellers have requested extra price-jacking time 😂

  • Does bike (excluded) mean bicycle or motorbike or both?

  • +3

    quote from eBay

    Ana10:21 AM
Is it okay for you to wait for atleast an hour? We have already raised this concern to our Technical team.

    • ‘Yeah sure, if you can guarantee I can still get my item.’

How did they cock up a Boxing Day sale? They’ve done dozens of these % off deals lately..

  • +3

Perhaps the code should be SUCKERPUNCH

    • -3

      This code actually worked!!!!!..
      .
      .
      .
      KIDDING.

  • When does this deal end?

    • Doesn't say. Which is another red flag, and that eBay didn't even want to run this sale for too long.

    • It ended before it even start.
      .
.End today Boxing day special mate.

  • Got this from ebay chat - I see, I apologise that the code is not working. In this case I suggest to pay the item in full amount without applying any voucher and I will be submitting your credit request to our promotions team to process your credit within 10-15 business days.

    • +5

      Wouldnt risk it……

    • Hell no! If it isn't working automatically on the site, then I ain't taking the risk.

    • +2

Hell NO, what a stupid suggestion, this is just Lazy support

    • +1

Got the same suggestion awhile ago, absolute PITA despite me having screenshot of what the Rep said

    • I've been waiting for almost 10 minutes for the chat support and it still says they'll be with me in less than a minute.

    • Ebay honoured their promise last time one of their codes didn't work. They credited our PayPal account a short time later.

    • That will take a week IF they do it.

  • I'm going to go ahead as the ebay rep said so, and I will have proof later.

    • +3

Why on earth would you do that…..

    • Doesn’t that mean you’ll only get a credit and not actually $ off your purchase?

      • Last time, they send credit to my paypal account , which I withdrew to my bank account

        • Fair enough but I guess a bit of a chance if they decide to pull the sale, for whatever reason.

      • They credited the difference via PayPal.

  • been having items in the cart on eBay since last night. Not sure if I should keep trying.

Meanwhile, bought on amazon.com.au a Xbox one s Minecraft 1TB again ($499 Microsoft, $379 other Big shops, bought $318 at JB - will return) and combined transition with Phillips Satin Shaver for FREEship (cause the Xbox included free shipping). Just Dance Switch game from JB for $29 (bought last night, already ready for pick up).

  • Better get their sh1t together or I will be going bricks and mortar.

    • Ebay doesn't care anymore as all the 'Amazon hype' has died down quickly…

      • Amazon haven't even setup their warehouse yet. There will be hype when that becomes live.

        • Yes they have, anything listed as from AmazonAu if coming from their warehouse

        • @Jakal: Let me rephrase. They haven't completely set it up. I work for an Amazon store ;)

    • amazon.com,au boxing day deals

    • +1

That'll show 'em. Pay more, for less service.

  • Code not working still

  • So is there any official eBay links to this sale? Sorry, I couldn’t see on mobile site a link?

    • +1

The whole sale was kinda weird from the get go. When you go to the front page of eBay it does in fact have the deal there, and here's the link to the T&C's https://pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/punch?_trkparms=%26…, but it doesn't say exactly when the sale starts or ends. There's something dodgy about the whole thing.

      • +1

Hmm. Yeah that’s odd, why be so coy about start and end times? Annoying. It’s not like they haven’t done these sales umpteen times before. :-(

        • +1

Tell about it. Let's see what they'll do as the day progresses. I am not feeling good about this anymore. lol

    • It's currently one of the rotating banners at the top of the front page of the site. https://www.ebay.com.au/

Perhaps the rotating banner isn't visible or isn't automatically rotating on a mobile device?

  • +2

Strange, the code does not work for me. An hour ago it said 'the code is not yet ready, try again soon', and just now it says 'code can't be applied to your order'. I tried it on three different items on my cart, individually and together.
