LG 65” 65UJ654T Ultra HD Smart TV - $1480.60 Shipped @ Videopro eBay

POWERUP

Best Price Ever!

From what I've heard this TV is better than the Samsung MU6100 model, but I haven't compared them side by side. Doubt you can go wrong with either at this price.

Also Available: Samsung 65" MU6103 (very similar to MU6100 except for several small features) - $1 more!

These are the best no-fuss big 4K TV's in my opinion. Good enough for most people, not the latest in technology (i.e. OLED), but they're cheap and cheerful!

    • Are you being sarcastic?

Some people like to get straight to the point instead of telling a story

      • And that's why I gave the OP a plus. I was genuinely impressed with that description. If my post was misconstrued as criticism then my humble apologies to those who interpreted it as such.

Does oled Tv good for a bright living room?

Check reviews before buying this TV. I was nearly lured by the impressive specs when I was looking for a new TV.

The reality is that this TV has some really weak points which ruin overall picture quality. LG uses an RGBW (not true 4K) IPS panel with low contrast (1200:1), and has some of the worst black & grey uniformity found in a TV. This won’t be as evident In a well lit room (such as in a store), but once the lights are out, it’s horribly distracting, particularly when watching films with letterboxing (the black bars will look grey, washed out, and blotchy).

RGBW is probably not as bit of a deal as people make it out to be. You're right about IPS though, not as good contrast as Samsung VA panels, but much better viewing angles, so I'd go with the Samsung if you watch a lot of movies. I think this LG has more vibrant and punchy colours. I never watch TV in the dark, so it's not a huge issue for me.

This is a good price for this model. I got this TV a year ago for $1800 used (retail price at the time $2700). Sure it is not as good as OLED or the newer model, but overall good TV for its price.

  • Anyone know if this TV uses RGBW? Given the price point I'm inclined to assume that it does.

    • Yes it does.. See posts above

  • Do you think JB, BingLee or HN would match this price for pickup?

  • Is it just me or have prices been increased?

    • Yes prices have increased +$160 since when I bookmarked it last night whilst I started to see what other peoples deals were.

  • Yes the title for this one is now misleading as the pricing is higher.

  • $1480 price no longer valid.
