its not like there advertising it anywhere, I had to ask for it, for those still with voda locked on a sim contract its a good deal as you likely wont have to pay out remainder of months, also optus is out of stock , 8plus deal with optus is great but some prefer the 8 then the 8plus
Agree with Frozensage, they are very late to the party. Pretty much my whole family, have swapped from Vodafone to Telstra for the F&F S8 deal.
I originally wanted to get a new contract with Vodafone (before the F&F deal came out) but their new pricing structure of charging you the FULL RRP of the device PLUS the plan, made Vodafone the most expensive of the lot. The point of buying a phone on a contract was to get the phone (or plan) discounted.
Yep same here, the GF asked Vodafone (Existing customer) about prices etc and a ip8 64gb with unlimited calls and texts and 3gb data came to $95 a month to continue with them.
Optus offered her a ip8 256gb model unlimited calls and texts along with 20gb data and 100mins overseas calls for about $69.

I got the same deal, walked into the store and asked them if they could match the Optus deal, which they agreed to.
You can either get 20gb of data, but no international calls, or 14gb of data and 200mins of international calls.
Vodafone were also out of stock, said it was due to this Optus price matching "deal", my phone is expected to arrive on 6th of Jan, but that's a Saturday so I don't know how delivery for that will work.

the price match means they add 4GB (no int calls) or 6GB (with in calls)
The stock issues are real… the 40GB deal was super popular… they are doing a deal on the ip8+ with 40GB now.. only $6 more than the ip8 deal.

There is a 36m option on the $30 plan which gives you 4gb data but no international calls however. $64 per month
Looks like a good deal, as I am paying $105 for my iPhone 7+ with Virgin.
So is it $69 or $75 ? And is the handset repayment over 24 or 36 mths
Officially it’s $75 per month for 24 months
$69 is the price with a student discount ($6 per month)
$69 price quoted would be with Student Discount for the 40GB deal.
$74.45 is the normal price for the 40GB Deal.

Yeah you can usually get the student discount if someone in the family has a student card. Depends on store however as officially has to be the account holder who is a student.
Price match is not a deal. Besides why would anyone join Vodafone when the same is offered by Telstra/Optus?
