These are the kind of announcement I expect to see in my letter box.. so what is the deal? Free pocket size paella?

  • Possibly making the most of the Prahran market extended shopping hours … believe one trader is giving away champagne (by the glass with registered voucher) … check Prahran market home page

I think the at least 25% off for anybody attending…. normally that level of discount is for trade only on selected items, so I've got my eyes on some lines where there are no further trade discounts to see how much Christmas spirit there is.

I used to use them a fair bit when I was in the trade (weekend catering as second job). They also have a great range of cookbooks in case you missed on-line Christmas delivery cut-off times.

Paella, probably because they also sell paella burners and pans, I have one that feeds 15 people generously so it's my alternative to bbq this Christmas … and I make it as paella, not Spanish risotto like the place at the Sth Melbourne Market (chefs keep on stirring like the witches from Macbeth), difference being paella has a crust on the bottom and grains separate …. risotto, no crust and grains stuck together in starchy sauce.

Be interesting how good a job they do cooking it.
