      • The trick is to be crazy hungover and starving.

    • Depends on how you reheat them. I find in the oven on 150c for 15-20mins turns out pretty well.

      • What's all this talk of reheating??

Cold is the only way leftover pizza should be consumed!

    • tastes the same as night before imo. now what you could say about the taste the first night you get it is another thing. but no, nothing changing overnight.

    • +1

Pro tip, put in microwave until warm the put in sandwich press and prop it open just enough so it won't touch the top of the pizza.

Crispy base and warm top :)

  • +1

I just clicked through and was given the following code for 20% off menu priced pizza if anyone wants to use it:

    015412143851

Presumably it's single use only so first in, best dressed.

    • +1

      doesn't work on this offer

  • +2

Had pizza in NYC… wasn't a fan of the chewy/rubbery crust. Sounds perfect for dominos to replicate

    • +2

I tried it in NYC too but found it quite good. At different places they did better than others. At one place they didn’t cook it long enough so everything tasted a bit raw (vege pizza so it wasn’t too bad).

      • +1

NYC pizza is my favourite anywhere in the world…and my burgeoning waistline will let you know that's quite a bit of pizza I've eaten in quite a few locations.

    • +1

I kept my NYC pizza box and took it home in my suit case.

    • I had pizza with macaroni & cheese on top, as I was shitfaced it tasted like the greatest thing ever!

  • Getting 500: Internal Server Error

  • same here. ozbargained?

    500: Internal Server Error

  • Damn I'm going to get even fatter now cos I can't leave food unfinished

  • I often eat for lunch 1/2 a Dominos pizza and then eat the other 1/2 the following day. This baby is gonna last me all week!!

    • +8

Amateur. I scarf down the whole pizza by myself.

    • +2

      Eat
      Sleep
      Poo
      Repeat

  • +1

What's the size of a usual family or large pizza at a non dominos shop?

    • Regular 9"
      Large 12"
      Family 15"

      • +4

        I guess I’m considered a family then

        • I'm an extended family .

        • @Scab: My tummy is extended after eating the whole pizza

  • Can't wait to try this!!

    • Other than the size, that was quite disappointing. Guess they're right when they say size doesn't matter.

  • +1

Just ordered one a second ago

OP might not want to link to their online view email. I can see your phone number and email when clicking through to 'Manage Preferences'.

    • Thanks, just updated.

      • +3

Let me know what you think of the porn I signed you up for.

  • +9

Just tried both big cheese and pepperoni, sausage and mushroom, there is nothing NY about these other than the size and topping combination. Just your regular cardboard tasting Dominos pizza enlarged.

    • +1

To be honest, that is all the everyone expects - size increase and domino's classic cardboard taste. Australia doesn't have the water to make a pizza taste like a New York pizza.

      • +9

Well when they advertise "Authentic soft and foldable New York style dough" I expected at least some sort of difference from the regular crap.

        • +5

when they advertise "Authentic soft and foldable New York style dough"

          That's for the cardboard box.

        • @Scab:

lol, I have been in a bad mood all day and this made me laugh!

    • -1

Would you go for it again?

    • +2

i just had this deal today, and had the pepperoni. I thought it tasted great, the base was tastier than the normal dominos affair. the pepperoni is still the same thou, but over all, a nice experience for the money :)

      • +1

Yeah man, can't go wrong with $10

    • Mine was so rock hard, I could have knocked someone out with a slice. Not even over-exaggerating that much.

It also tasted disgusting (pepperoni, sausage and mushroom).

Half of it went in the bin.

  • +3

If you try to order the NY veg one or the one with capsicum, it’ll prompt you that it’s not available and gives you a $3 credit, one per order, but think the minimum order for the credit to be used was $22. Ordered 2 NY meat ones and one $5 Veg one effectively making the Veg one $2.

  • It seems expired for me.

  • +7

As others have mentioned its the exact same dough and pizza as the regular. I tasted no difference from the standard pepperoni.

  • Think I will go down there with a bottle of wine sit down and eat, will take my own glass as they only offer plastic cups … at least not rude enough to charge corkage for a plastic cup.

    • wow I did not know Domino's were licensed!

  • +1

    Dinner already cooking, couldn't resist

  • Still a delivery minimum if trying to order 1 it seems?

  • +1

Ordered the Pepperoni, Sausage and Mushrooms. Will report back on rating.

  • 9.95 pickup down from 17.95, wow. do you reckon this voucher will be back in future?

    • +1

      Si senor.

  • +2

Mine was terrible. Looked nowhere close as good as the pic posted earlier. Proceed with caution.

  • +3

Yes. Looks like we are on track for maybe Chicago style deep dish pizzas by 2033. Sweet faster than I expected imho.

  • I love Domonio's

sorry I had to haha lol :p

  • Damn good Pizzas :) smashed 4 slices! Better with tabasco sauce!! Smaller than costco pizzas but way better. Worth the $10

  • OMG there should be a health warning on the box. It's the ultimate heart stopper.

  • +2

Pepperoni + Sausage here - definitely worth $10, would buy again on another day if the same deal comes up.

  • +1

anyone tried the CHOCOHOLIC DESSERT PIZZA ?

  • +1

Just tried it. The base is slightly soft with a crispy crust outer. However they did give me the wrong order.. I ordered a Big cheese and sausage but wasn't given the sausage..

  • Just picked some up, knew it was 16" but was still mind blown being handed a box this big by Domino's.

  • -4

Why would I want a sad floppy pizza anyway? There's a reason we do it differently (better) in Australia, because we don't want those stupid gross looking things we see on american TV!

    • +7

Yeah, that's why Australia is famous for its pizza, right?

      • No relevance. Transformers 4 is an extremely famous movie, but does that make it good? America is famous for it's obesity, China is famous for it's human rights violations. I could go on. I understand the novelty factor as a one time thing, but no pizza I've ever seen in film/tv/images from the US has ever looked anything other than sad and honestly gross. Stick to your delusions if you like.

  • +1

Ordered the pepperoni sausage plus mushroom, the topping is no near to the picture, seems like the store just spead the topping on regular pizza to fit the 16 inch one.

  • I can't get a pickup for 9.95…

edit : my bad. I can get it for 9.95…:)

    • I was this close to asking you what the issue was because I couldn't get it to work either. Then I realised there are two coupon codes and the dominos coupons page was showing the wrong one.

P.S. Do you realise how frustrating it is to have an issue and see someone posting about finding a solution without saying what it is?!

  • Tried to order today for pickup tomorrow … "426920 is expired"

    :(

    • Needs to be picked up today. Pizza would still be good tomorrow :)

  • +1

Might order one. My initial opinion is it's a 2.5x sized value pizza at 3.5x the price. But this one might be discounted at 30% often. Which means u will be paying 2.45x the price when discounted for 2.5x more dough.

  • Dinner, brekky, and work lunch sorted.

  • Definitely $10 is worth it. Base is soft. Thanks OP.

  • ok ordered. would only pay 10 dollars. that would be twice the standard traditional pepperoni etc. toppings wise very basic.they would want to get more meatlovers type options on the menu not just pepperoni and cheese.

try a yellowcab pizza from philippines to know how pizza should be made.

  • I placed an order and got a phone call 10 mins into driving there that they aren't making them..Have to wait 2 days for refund. So I ordered from another store instead. Got the pepperoni, sausage and mushroom. Impressive size, but the same minimal toppings you would expect from Domino's.. taste was good though. I wouldn't pay any more than $10 due to the minimal amount of ingredients, would have liked to add some chili flakes and spring onions at least but I didn't see any option for customization.

  • Ordered pepperoni and they gave me cheese wtf

  • The dough base seems almost like its precooked or semi-cooked. Texture is definitely different. Wouldn't pay more than $10 for it and certainly won't be ordering it again, and I'm a fan of domino's!

  • +1

Reporting in. Its standard dominos trash. Disgusting. Wouldn't order again. And won't order dominos again.

  • Loved it.

  • +3

Absolutely disgusting. It's just a normal dominos pizza, but stretched out (same amount of cheese and toppings). The base is definitely the same dominos cardboard tasting base texture. RRP $17.95? Wow. Fast food these days is just about raising the prices and slapping on a different marketing packaging on it ('authentic, 'premium', 'groumet' 'exotic' etc).

  • +3

Ordered the Pepporoni. Same old Domino's base, sauce and cheese with minimal meat. Don't expect anything different to the usual junk served. Definitely would not buy at the usual price of $17.95. Even at that ridiculous cost it cannot be customised and has set ingredients. Oh Domino's, Why do I keep doing it? Why!

  • +3

That-a shit-a pizza. Can't believe I fell for the hype for this pizza. It's not even pizza, it's a circle of trash.

  • I ordered the pepperoni and really enjoyed it. Probably my favourite pizza from a large chain. Base is slightly thinner and 'stiffer' (for want of a better word) than a regular Domino's pizza, so easier to eat and less doughy, which I like. I think they've actually done quite well at capturing the New York style of pizza.

Great value for $10, I would probably be willing to pay up to $15 for it. It's so massive that I would say a lot of people will struggle to fit the box in their fridge.

  • Yoooo what the hell. This doesn't look 'New York' levels of thinness or foldability. This looks like the same thickness as the regular kind.

Maybe it's different, I don't know. I agree it does feel a bit firmer then what I remember of Domino's is normally

Here's a picture of what I got, this is the pepperoni, sausage and mushroom https://i.imgur.com/IMsrU0F.jpg

I ate 4 slices while drinking a bunch of coke. I think the remaining 4 reheated are going to be a chore

I'm happy with my $9.95 spend but I will not be rushing back to this next time the deal is on

    • Yours actually looks halfway ok. Should have seen mine.

  • +1

I got the Pepperoni and sausage..and it was super greasy and pretty bad tasting.. Low quality pizza..but more of it.. The problem was I nearly hurled after the first piece.

  • Sweet Christ…everybody sing now…killing me softly with pizza….etc.

  • Can't even add it to cart shows nothing….

  • Ordered a cheese. Tastes the same as their normal cheese pizzas. Crust is a little thinner than the regular base but it's not as thin as the thin base option on their normal pizzas.

Value is good at $10. Would pay $12.50 max.

  • Same same, but different.

  • +1

Mine was putrid from Seaford, SA.

Stiff as a piece of timber, minimal cheese, sauce ended a whole 7cm from the crust (toppings I can understand, but the sauce?), and it wasn't even the one I ordered.

    Half went in the bin.

Don't know why I expected better.

  • My local store 'sold out' of the large dough, so they were doing 3x large pizzas as a replacement.

    • -1

This pretty much just confirms the base is premade/precooked and they just put toppings on. The base is worse than the usual dominos pizzas

      • -1

As opposed to what, making up the base after you order? Of course they are going to pre-make them.

        • -1

No, I'm guessing they stretch out the dough at the store for standard size pizzas.

As for the large new york ones they are already cooked and then delivered to the store. How else can you run out of large dough ???

        • @sleet: The dough is pre-prepared / measured well before it's used I guess, I doubt they have time when busy to just start making more and they probably do them in very large batches. I doubt they have a separate supply line for 'the same thing but bigger' and I doubt it's as simple as re-making smaller bases into larger ones. Everything in fast food is so structured compared to a real restaurant where they can improvise.

    • My store sold out, but the idiots on the front counter didn't bother to tell people waiting to pick up their orders, even when waiting 20 minutes after it was originally 'due' and enquiring multiple times why it wasn't progressing. So free large pizza + garlic bread instead when the one girl out the back who was doing everything due to her slack colleagues actually noticed. If only 25 minutes of my time was worth a free pizza it would be a good deal.

  • Any of you kids remember when Pizza Hut had the New Yorker?

  • Hmm, I remember trying this pizza at Dominos in NYC last year and it was surprisingly good! Given the fact it is just sauce, mozza, and pepperoni I didn't expect the quality of it to be that great.

Then you go into any small pizza store in Manhattan and that shit blows away Dominos by a mile.

  • So now that it is back to $17.95 what's better 3 x value range pizzas or one of these new New Yorker range pizzas.. mainly looking at just cheese and pepperoni.

  • ahh dammit was gonna grab this today but its over ;(
