I bought one in the last deal, have a concrete pool with a step
have not seen it on the step but goes up to the water line.
Does a very good job and the leaf catcher saves a heap of farting around with the skimmer and pump basket.

Rep, does this run on a power cord or battery? Do the hose +/- cord pivot as needed?
We have a robotic cleaner which does a fairly average job of cleaning, but the power cord does not pivot meaning it twists and prevents the cleaner from moving to the other end of the pool.
Am tempted to trial this one if it would be a significant improvement but is there one you could suggest would be better? It would mainly be picking up small particles and leaves/wattle seedpods.
Also how easy is it to clean?

Hi Rep, is it possible to offer a deal on just on the MX8 cleaner itself? I replaced my 14 lengths of twist lock hose only 10 months ago, and I already have the cyclonic leaf catcher. I currently run a G2.

    Thank you for your offer, it's much appreciated. However I guess I'll wait until I need to replace my current hose, before purchasing a MX8. Even though my hose does live 24/7 in the pool (thus cops a hammering from the elements), I still don't want the issue of having to store the 12 spare lengths. Nor could I be bothered to on-sell the spares.

The link works. But some pool shops say it won't work on tiles.
Eg. I got a pentair rebel. It's advertised to work on all surfaces in 2016. In 2017, most pool shops added "except tiles" in their description. Funny that Pentair YouTube ad still says work on all surfaces in 2017.
I prefer someone who actually tried mx8 in tiled pool to tell me it works in a tiled pool.

  Check with the pool and spa warehouse, they will respond quickly and give you the answer. Plus they offer a 30 day return period and are a good company to deal with.
