This blender has been mentioned before on Ozb as a cheap alternative to the Vitamixes, Omniblends, Blendtecs and so forth. I bought one, I dont expect it to be as good as all those, but for 12% of the price, its still worth a crack.

i bought a similar priced, 1400w blender and its been great for soups, juices and everything. no issues, much better price and value. the one i bought offered extra blades, which i think would be beneficial for the long run. i'll just sharpen the blades myself.
Is this the one that was recalled?

They should have fixed the problem but should check before buying, just to be safe.
I have a cheapie clone like this and a genuine Vitamix. Vitamix is better built (mine has been used every day for 12 year and still as good as new) and does a better blend job. How good does a clone function? Maybe 60-70% as good in blend. Durability? Hard to say, I only use my clone when I'm on the road. Still for 12% of the cost these sub-$100 clones are a great deal either way.
I just got mine in the mail yesterday. Plenty of grunt, would blend a frostbitten limb. Jug doesn't seem as good at combining the ingredients though.
Yeah they are good, just not as good as the original but a heck of a lot cheaper.
Cheaper via eBay: $87.51 after code P5OZZIE
I got spare jug-only for these, brand new, unused
The blender works like a monster, zero issues, recommended.
