Sorry. We were unable to save this offer to your Card. Please try again later.

First time I encountered this error.

[Edit:] Kept clicking. It works now.

  • Target? Can't see it in app.

    Edit: see it now

  • Getting errors lol

  • Working now

  • I was able to add it in the app.

  • Appeared on both my Plat Edge and Velocity Escape. Both saved fine.

    • +5

You can always buy meals for the homeless

      • +2

And kill them from heart disease??

        • 1 single maccas meal is not gonna kill anyone although starvation on the other hand that's completely different

        • @nightelves: True, I was not being serious.

        • @nightelves: You will in hand get food poisoning in the form of cramps for 3 days after consuming loaded fries though.

        • @Superninja418:

Pretty sure their immune system is a lot stronger than you and I

      • How long does shipping take?

    • I'm going to get morbidly obese then - got 12 cards :p

  • Holy crap AmEx is raining down offers this year, not bad.

    • +15

If you thought it was raining this year, last year was pouring then!

  • Curious, why are those maccas excluded? Are they somehow different?

    • +3

They're probably franchisees that have a different agreement with the Head Office (and probably also don't accept AmEx I'd hazard a guess).

      • Yep, they don't accept AMEX. Lakelands WA doesn't accept it and that's why I refuse to go there anymore. They're just losing business.

        • Out of interest, do you know what eftpos / payment terminals they use? Is it the same one as the other Maccas?

I didn't know there were Maccas with different payment arrangements and stuff.

        • +1

@DogGunn: Not sure exactly, but the machines all look identical to other Maccas. This was the first one I'd come across that didn't take Amex and I was pissed when they didn't accept it.

  • OP, the main deal link just redirects to the Generic Offer T&Cs (which every AmEx offer has), and hence is not specific to this particular deal. Maybe change it to the manual link that forumninja posted?

    • Thanks updated

      • Much better :)

        • I take it you saved it to all 12 of your cards? Brodens

        • @anthem29: I don't actually eat Macca's if ever, so I saved it to one card to try it out, see any new menu items :)

  • Saved to my Amex issued card, thanks OP

  • +2

Stack this family box stan offer, 2 months of streaming worth more than the food itself :)

  • Ok, this year birthday celebration at McDonald!

  • +1

When I expand location I only see Sydney locations.

  • +2

Hungry Jacks vouchers are still better value, but should come in handy.

    • +1

I prefer hj anyway, but the nearest store is quite some distance away. Macdonald is way closer

  • I don't know too much about AMEX, do these types of offers only apply to pure AMEX cards? I have a westpac altitude black which has AMEX linked to the account (as well as mastercard), do I get access to these deals?

    • +1

      yes - google amex connect

    • +1

yes use the manual link to enroll :)

You're not allowed to have a McD's thumbnail. Reporting to Mcdonalds.

    • +1

      Ent book vouchers ??

  • +3

I spent $30 at maccas today. Received no email after the transaction.

    • Same!

    • yeo me too

    • same here. spent 15.98, no email

    • yup me too

    • confirming that I received $5 credit today.

  • Registration was full :-(

  • Expired.

  • I spent $15 over two transactions via the app and received the confirmation email instantly.

    • Spent $15 over three transactions and got the qualifying e-mail

      • Just curious to his these 'multi-transaction' deals work - do they send an email for each spend or only after the spend that takes the total to ≥$15?
I've used the offer but for a total spend of $15.15 so I got the email straight away if course. Just curious to see how it works with the multiple spend!

        • +1

Only after the last transaction qualifies for the statement credit

        • +1

          @kerfuffle: thanks :)

  • The girl at the counter said they can't split payment over 2 cards and I couldn't mentally do the math quick enough so I ended up spending more than I should have. I should get deducted Ozbargain points for the poor value I received.

    • +1

This is why I use the mymacca's app, so I can try my best to keep the total to as close to $15 as possible. If the store doesn't accept app orders then I add everything to cart and order exactly as the app says, then use the card to pay. Works everytime :)

      • +2

        Username checks out. haha

I will do that next time.

  • +1

Just to confirm this can be spent in multiple transactions? I.e. spend $6 + $6 + $3 to make $15? And it can be spent through the ordering kiosk in store? I asked because I have spent way over $15 but across different kiosks in different stores but still did not receive email.

    • Yes for the first question, don’t know the answer to the second one

    • yes. multiple transactions are okay.

I even used android pay and still got the cashback.
      didn't receive any email too.

      • Yeah turned out I got the cashback despite not receiving email. All good~~~
