        There are a few stores which sell for around $1000, and are often on the 20% ebay sales. Videopro is one that comes to mind, there are 1-2 other stores around the same price point too which appear on the frequent 20% deals. I confirmed they will come with the 2+1 years warranty for Local Denon support.

          If you don't need the extra hdmi inputs or the extra output then the 1400H would be pretty good in its own right. I wanted the extra HDMI output and adding an external splitter would have cost a fair bit extra anyway.

    Thanks OP - been waiting for a deal like this since I missed the 2300H one last year and it never came back on sale. At almost half the local price it's a worthwhile risk to take. And I gather from previous posts on stuff bought from amazon germany that the CS is pretty good.
