Locksmith Tools 15% off and Free Delivery from Locksmiths Toolbox

InB4: "Lock picks are illegal!1!!" No, no they are not. How you use, store and/or carry them can render them illegal. They are no more illegal to own than a pair of bolt cutters. I am a locksmith and I'm posting this deal for other locksmiths and apprentice locksmiths looking to get some tools on discount. Believe it or not, these tools are also for "tradespersons" with legitimate uses.

I was looking to update and get some extra tools for the workshop/van and noticed Locksmiths Toolbox had a discount code as well as a free shipping offer. Thought I would share it with the other Locksmiths on OzB. Not sure when the code ends though, so get it while it works…

I guess one of two things will come of posting, 1: I'll find out cheaper prices elsewhere when people start posting and I'll kick myself or 2: It will turn into a flame war about the legality of locksmithing tools.

Examples, cause I know you guys/gals love them;
Sparrows Pinning Mat $37.40 after discount. (Best thing I ever bought for doing locks. Paid double that for mine.)
Access Tools LED Light $46.75 after discount. (Got mine from USA for almost $100.)
Super Air Jack $46.75 after discount. (Cheapest I could find when I got mine.)

Lots of other stuff on there that is already reduced and this code seems to take a further 15% off those prices as well.

  • Do you sell a rekeying kit as I’d like to try and re key my house?

    • +1

I’m not associated with the site, but if you were looking to rekeying your house, I would definitely buy the pinning mat. It will save you looking on the floor for all the pins that roll off the table.

I am going to assume that you have a pretty standard Lockwood style key for the house, and what you want to do is either change the key or to make all the locks the same, if so, a pinning kit will be what you need to do that, but you may need some other tools as well, as it’s not just as simple as pulling pins out and replacing them, but it isn’t a hard thing to do. Only thing I would recommend is a plug follower to keep the top pins in place.

  • Do you sell Latest model car key m looking for Toyota camry altis 2015 car key its “H” key delare asking too much price for duplicate key

    • I’m not associated with the site. If you want a key cut and coded to suit your car, you can go to an automotive locksmith and they should be able to do it for a lot less than the dealer would sting you for.

      • I can not find much for this model. thanks for ur msg

  • Hi Op, do you sell a public utility lockset as I am hoping to secure my electrical DB box outside the house? I am in WA and this key is called the WAS key.

    • +1

I’m not associated with the site. I work in NSW and I am not sure what they use in WA. Best idea is to contact your local locksmith and they may have something on the shelf for you. I don’t know what a WAS key is, but it just sounds like a key/lock that is masterlocked to who ever does the meter reading.

Edit: Found this from a quick search… Western Australia Services locks

I think my favourite request I get regularly at work is… “can you guys just sell me a skeleton key that just opens everything?” Sure I can! Because these things totally exist. I don’t have skills as a locksmith, I just have a key ring with a couple of skeleton keys on it. All these locksmith tools are just smoke screen for the truth… :D

  • I bought a set years ago …… takes me about 10 mins if it’s an old lock to pick it …… started as wanted to find out how much hype is on tv vs real world to pick a lock.

these sets not just good if you need to pick a lock eg lost keys to shed, renovating old houses, etc but also,if you break a key in the lock.

i also got a pick gun which doesn’t seem to work as well as normal, picks for me.

    • Yes, I agree, pick guns seem to be an aquired taste. I have never been able to use one with any success, but one of the guys at work swears by them and can open locks in about 30 seconds.

And yes, there are some other handy tools to keep around, such as broken key extractors. These are also good for when you get a lock filled with things other than keys.

I don't have a pick gun, but I use the rake method to get things open quickly. It's not elegant, but it gets the job done. If that fails, I'd call locksmith.

        • Have to agree. I have a pick case full of rakes. I find that my style works well with rakes. I have more success from raking than I do from any other picking method. That and bump keys.
