True ozbargainer will just keep changing their free 30 days trial key every 30days :)

  • Intersting read…the pcworld article

    • A tad concerned it is nearly 7 years old though. That's a forever in the IT world.

      • Hi There,

Although the article I shared is the old one, still some basic things never change :)

        Best Regards,

        ESET

  • I use eset, but I tend to just buy the OEM keys these days. works out to be about 10 bucks a year usually.
When you realise just how much of a mark up is on anti virus and internet security packages its crazy.
$100-300rrp security software costs retailers about $12. huge mark-up.

  • Where do u get Eset keys for 10bucks a year?

      • Dear All,

The OEM version on eBay is 2014 version if you can see the product image. ESET has rebranded "Smart Security" with the new name "Internet Security" in 2016, and its now with more advanced features (Version 11, Edition 2018). It is available only through ESET official website (www.eset.com/au) or our channel partners.

        Best Regards,
        ESET

That's the sellers store name that ends in 2014. But yes this is a few versions old from the package which is why it's going for cheap. But from memory when i used it in the past the key was able to be used with the latest version downloaded from the web site.

For people's reference, MSY has the follwing:

ESET Internet Security 3 Devices 1 Year $15
ESET Smart Security 1 Device 1 Year $8

    • That would be the OEM version.

      • What does that mean you have to buy it with a device?

        • Hi There,

The OEM license is supposed to be purchased with the computer device and it can be used only for that particular device (Non - transferable).

          Best Regards,

          ESET
