There’s also some multipurpose ladders on sale

  • I've got a $10 voucher for Kogan sitting in my account and am in the market for a ladder. Anyone have any thoughts/experiences about this ladder? I need it for basic use around a single storey house such as going into the ceiling cavity, cleaning external roof gutters etc.

    • Yep, I’d like to find out those too!

    • I used one decades ago. The only 'trap' back then was if you had your hand between rungs when you pushed the collapse button. Gave me a bit of a scare. Modern ones might have better safety features.

Collapsing down makes it easy to get it inside the house or the car. If I didn't have an abundance of ladders, I'd consider buying one of these.

  • Weight 11.2kg.

  • Thanks, bought one. I’ve borrowed my Dads before and it was perfect for what I needed. He said he paid $99 off eBay.

Just be careful of those fingers when collapsing it!

I own one of the ones that can be folded double or extended, and regret my purchase. It is wobbly as anything. When used in fully extended mode, if the centre hinch does not "click" well enough, the ladder will jack-knife while you are standing on it and in my case it meant falling forward onto the concrete.

I do not trust mine as it has too many joints and moving parts to be stable, and as such I hardly ever used it. Not sure how the telescopic one is, but I'd be careful.

"Reach the highest locations through a max extension of 3.8m"
Excellent, mind you though, some scientists have postulated the existence of heights higher than 3.8m

    • +2

mt fuji is only 3.776m high

    • +2

Only a few crazy scientists on the fringes, no serious scientist is a height denier.

  • Evidence?

    • Of what? If you want evidence it's a ladder just look at it. Definitely a ladder.

      • Sorry, this was in response to this comment. Sometimes when I respond from mobile, it does not seem to respond to the right comment.

  • great deal for astronomers.

  • it will collapse spectaculaly
