        The $5 credit expire 12/11

        Expired

        • But with this 20% sale, most stuff you bought on the weekend should now be cheaper and you will get a loyalty credit for the difference.
*Edit - Maybe not if you didn't buy it online

  • Anybody got experience with the toolpro range of tools they sell? Lifetime warranty but curious if they are a pain to get it honoured

    • +1

I've got some of the ToolPro spanners and a large tool kit and other smaller items. Nice quality (maybe not for everyday pro workshop use? but for home use, just great). I haven't had anything break so haven't had to use the warranty.

    • +10

Everyone’s mileage may vary, but I have a lot of the ToolPRO range and I have never had to get anything replaced. I have tool boxes, socket sets, stands, jacks, hand tools, etc. The only thing I don’t have is any of their electric tools. I have Stanley, JBS, Snap On, Sidchrome tools and the ToolPRO ones are any bit as good as any of them.

So, I don’t have any experience getting them replaced because I have never had to. I am sure, being OzB that a few brand snobs will be along soon and tell you otherwise. Sure, you can buy a $400 SnapOn 1/2” Drive ratchet, but after losing SnapOn tools down the guts of trucks and bulldozers, I’d rather not…

Source: I make my living fixing cars and trucks, not tinkering on weekends on my lawnmower. I buy tools because I need them for work, not to show off to my mates when they come around to have a beer and a circlejerk in my garage over my cafe racer…

      • -1

I only use platinum coated vanadium tools. It's the only way to git'er'dun.

      • Ive seen a couple of their roller cabs on Gumtree, with drawer sliders that have obviously gone. Cant say why, maybe someone stood on them.

    • I have a few sets, had an issue with the metric ratcheting spanner set. One of them went all crunchy, went to store and they replaced the whole set. They probably aren’t the best ratchet spanners out there. But with those sets you get what you pay for. The big standard spanner set is great, I have a long 1/2” socket set which is great for the price.

      Better than Stanley I think.

      • +1

Toolpro is better than stanley. The superworks gold that SCA used to have is also better than stanley.

        • +1

Given SCA sell a fair range of Stanley, I would think thats who make them… and a few other brands.

    • I broke a toolpro ratchet because I had it on a breaker bar and set to lefty loosey instead of tighty righty. They gave me a replacement. Otherwise they have been great tools.

Doesn't add an extra 20% off to the things currently on sale.

Sunshades not on sale how is this site wide :(

    http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Covercraft-Heatshie…

    • -1

Damn that’s weird, you should contact them about it because it should be!

    • +2

As usual many items aren't discounted at all. This happens every time they have a "site wide" discount.

    • +1

I am looking to buy the Covercraft sunshade too and it's not on sale.

      • -1

Why are people wanting to buy a sun shade for >$100?

        • +1

they are expensive and that's the price you pay for a high quality custom-made sunshade (perfect fitting) for your vehicle. The Covercraft is made in USA and have great owner reviews.

    • I noticed the power inverters I was looking at weren't on sale either

    • Because its a special order item and in the fine print, its says "excludes special order". Also tyres etc not included.

      http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/promotions/click-frenzy

  • can anyone recommend a sunshade for rear passenger windows?

  • +1

    Any good tyre inflators?

  • -5

Site shows batteries discounted by 20% but when I add to cart, price goes up to original price. Wth? 30 minutes wasted choosing a battery.

This is just the sort of stunt Aussie stores pull which will make Amazon such a success here.

    • +9

Sort of stunt? It’s probably just a website glitch lol, was working perfectly earlier, just wait for them to fix it.

      It’s now working fine.

      • +7

How many times have I heard glitch /technical issue is to blame? Seems like every time. Black Friday sales, click frenzy, general election, nbn, gas, electric bills, mobile phone….. Unacceptable these days.

The more we accept it, the more foreign companies will come and beat us on service every time.

        • +1

So you’re saying that showing prices on the site but not in cart is a tactic of theirs lol?

Sure, makes sense if a retailer says “up to 70% off” but only has like 1 item at 70% off, but to say that glitch is a normal business practice is stupid.

I’ve seen amazon have errors like this multiple times, not sure how you think they’re some sort of god.

  • +2

    Yes same
It shows discounted price but then add it to cart and goes to full price
    Fail sale

  • +2

    Same here, wasted the morning…

  • -6

How is this site wide? There are only 129 products in the sale and half of them are brake pads…

    • +1

Huh? That is a seperate sale which is part of Click frenzy, the 20% off is for the rest of the site on full priced items.

I’m guessing you didn’t look around the rest of the site.

      • -1

Still a BS sale, eg a welder I was looking at is actually more expensive than it was a few weeks ago.

        • +5

How about you highlight it so your neg is actually allowed, right now you’ve just got a neg referring to misinformation.

        • @doweyy: I will say though that with everything on their site always on some sale, there are going to be lots of things that aren't full price that are either not on any extra discount, or went back to full price that are more. I've noted a laser distance measurer that is no cheaper than it was on the weekend and bolt extractor set that I've seen cheaper before and looks like it's not eligible for any further discount because it's already discounted (in fairness more than 20%, but I was hoping it would stack). Supercheap are the typically the better of the two main auto shop options though

  • +3

sale not working for me either. product page listed 20% off but cart still shows full prize.
is there a coupon code we.re supposed to enter?

  • -1

What does everyone think about power steering fluid? worth replacing??

    • -4

No you must never replace it. Sorry I mean yes.

      • +2

        what?

        • +1

Some manufacturers recommend it every ~120-150,000km, some say don't bother changing it at all. Overall it isn't a big deal. Didn't stop me as I did it around 100k anyway. The turkey baster/suction gun method works well enough and leaves little mess.

Have a look at your owners manual, if you're lucky it may just use Dex3 which is cheap as chips.

        • @Herp: Thanks Herp

  • +1

Ditto to everyone putting into cart and getting charged full price.

Sent them an email- lets see where that leads.

  • "Site wide" "Online only"

  • Been waiting for the roof rack sets on sale. But this is just not real “on sale”. Prices on roof rack possibly has been jacked a little bit

  • Time to load up on some Autoglym. Ta!

Only a true ozbargainer will appreciate this discount:

Can anybody recommend a good high pressure washer that is on sale?

  • +2

Annoyingly, they took away most common Mobil1 oils.

    • Ask them To beat Repco price, currently 50 per cent off for Mobil 1 5w30

      • Or just buy from Repco. Either way, good suggestion. Thanks!

  • It might be an error with the site, or me, but it looks like Bunnings is either on-par or cheaper than SCA for WD40, I know oddly specific but that’s what I’m in need of ATM so what I was looking for.

    I could be wrong.

    • +1

I think you're right, 400g at Bunnings is $7.98, whereas SCA is 425g for $9.59, seems like much better value to me.

  • I can't seem to put an order through. I'm using my club credits and trying to pay the remainder but an error message keeps coming up saying "password invalid". Very odd because it doesn't ask for your password anywhere at checkout if you're already logged in.

  • Shouldn't we get credit for purchase that we made during the weekend with $5 credit for full price item? Somehow my weekend order was cancelled even though I have picked up.
